Great Course
First time playing Cumberland golf club. Really enjoyed how wide open the fairways were and how there was very little water hazards. Lots of sand traps but placed in good positions to save your ball when you hit it too hard. Definitely would recommend this to anybody looking to play a decent round of golf in the Carlise area.
First time playing this course while traveling on business
What a nice enjoyable round of golf pace of play was swift the restaurant afterwards the food was wonderful. The bartender and the cook were equally wonderful.
Great value for the money
Fun course, a little overgrown.
The course itself has a fun layout and the staff was very friendly. The few things I would say need improvement is the length of the grass. Tee boxes and rough were in need of a fresh cut. Also the ladies did not have tee boxes on most holes and were just randomly placed in the fairways. It is the begging of the season so I understand that course conditions can’t be expected to be excellent at this time of the year. In a positive note the food and drinks were both delicious and affordable.
Fairly good deal
I Have played this course since the 1970's. It has various conditions over the years. Currently it's a little rough in some areas , I guess due to irrigation work and dry weather in late summer months. I guess the watering system is down? I play there occasionally because it's convenient. Price a little high for seniors especially this time of year. Sand traps and greens need work.Compared to conditions over the years sinc started playing there I have to rate it 6-7 compared to others in the area.
Fun Day
Nice day, partially rainy. Course in fair condition. Sand traps hard. Tee boxes lots of bare spots. Dry weather might be a factor. Could use more irrigation. Overall good day, will play there again.
Challenging course
Sone of the par 4s are very ling which challenges being in par. I like a good challenge.
Cumberland golf course

My Review
We played course on June 29nth, starting at 11 am. The course was in good shape. It was a very hot and humid day. While I get that Covid has changed a lot of things, it would have been nice if we had cold water provide on the course. Other than that, it was an enjoyable course, but there were no short par 3’s. And there were some par 4 that were more than 450 yds…But overall a good course, and for the money, worth it !
Challenging course
Challenging Course compared to others in the area.
My new favorite course in Central PA.
Even on a rainy front 9; this course was one of the best I’ve played in the area. On par with Dauphin Highlands, and for the money approaches even Iron Valley.
My new favorite course in the area!
Beautiful layout and well kept tee boxes; ball cleaning stations and labeling could use some TLC but I’ll be playing here a lot in the future.
