Must hit to spots, first time playing, so i was lost-at times

but.... this is the first time ive been there where the top parking lot was full when i arrived. 1050 tee time, 5.5 hour round. Wayyyyy too many people out there and no ranger to keep it moving.... Was kind of a Saturday-Ruiner. But i will return. It was the first nice day of the season and i think they got a bit excited with letting so many groups out. Booked on golf now, they paired us with 2 but they were late. We went out as a 2some but paired after the second hole because of the slow pace.

Hated the layout, Conditions were rough, overall just not a fun course to play

This course is so fun and challenging! Lots of unexpected surprises! Very green and well kept! Can't wait to go back!

Excellent staff and the course is in very good condition! Pace of play was very good!

This course has a great vibe. The staff are chill, the course has a good variety of holes and challenges, and there’s a certain patina that makes this place special. The out and back routing, the little snack shack at the turn, and the quirkiness of the holes all contribute. Although not perfectly manicured, the course played beautifully with bouncy, browned out fairways and receptive greens (which could be firmer). I enjoy playing here every time and the value is unmatched. I hope it continues to thrive and improve over the years. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Crab grass in the tee boxes and rough. It’s pretty obvious management hasn’t invested a penny in course maintenance. Greens desperately need an aerification and the course could use some fertilizer. Sometimes you need to invest a little money to line those pockets with cash

Overall great experience, hoping the green speeds get back to the Galen Hall I love, but understand with the weather we've be experiencing.

A bunch of fairways have bare spots. If it rains, it's a swamp. The carts are junk. If you touch the brakes, you'll go through the front windows. Many golfers tore up several holes. The conditions aren't good at all.

A good Robert Trent Jones updated course...contains the first example of a Island holed green...lots of elevation change and if you play it early in the day , the greens run fast..nice course !

Course was extremely wet in some places but I anticipate that may be normal for the area. Interesting layout. Front seemed a bit more challenging than the back. Listen to the club house personnel when they explain about number 2!!

Teed off on a late-morning weekday-off, leading into a holiday weekend and found the course pleasantly uncrowded.

Played through *five* groups of very-nice gentlemen along the way who were kind enough to bring me through every time, with little if any delay, despite my having no standing as a single-player versus their four-ball matches. They didn't have to do what they did, but they helped me finish a very-enjoyable round in not much more than two hours, thirty minutes (with a cart), and that was most appreciated.

The course was in good shape but a bit soggy from some historically-torrential rains on days prior. This was particularly true in low-lying areas, and there are plenty of low-lying areas on this fairly-hilly layout. I suspect those areas will dry back to normal by the time anyone reads this.

Highly recommended if you've suffered from pace-of-play frustration elsewhere.
