Better and better
I enjoy this course more each time I play. The first two holes are pretty plain- but that is good to get settled into your game- then it gets interesting. Great layout and I found the course to be in excellent condition. Can’t wait to play again on this hidden gem
Great layout. Zoysia fairways great for the heat. Greens in great shape.
Played this course a year ago and the greens and fairways were still not quite grown in. Played it again this year and it was the most fun public course I’ve played in the area. The layout demands some creativity and accuracy and accents the surrounding mountains well. The fairways and greens were in great shape for the heat we have had. Pace of play was excellency on a Sunday afternoon. There is a downhill par 3 that still doesn’t have grass on the tee box and they have mats to hit off of-getting some grass on that tee box is the only constructive feedback I would give.
Enjoyable afternoon tee time.
This was my first time playing Olde White Oak, so wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff was friendly and sent me off the back nine to avoid being behind several groups. Played the entire 18 without seeing anyone in front of me. Course had a unique layout that matched the surrounding landscape well. The only negative I experienced was the greens were very slow. Apparently they had aerated them a couple of weeks prior and hadn’t cut them down to normal height yet. This made putting very difficult. I will definitely consider playing here again if I’m in the area.
Pleasant Round of Golf
The course was in good shape. The staff was very good. The pace of play was excellent for a Saturday. I recommend this course and will be back.
We noticed!
I’ve been playing this course for years. It’s playable for all skill levels. The recent improvements and efforts at course enhancement do not go unnoticed. There’s still work to do. I want to give it a 5, but it’s not there yet. It is definitely on its way. The pace was a little slow due a a group of 5 being allowed and tee times not being enforced.
Good value for the money.
Nice variety of hole layouts. Small but well taken care of greens.
The rough will punish you. Fairways can be patchy/thick in some spots. Good value course will be back.
Slow greens
I have always liked white oaks. It’s a little more pricey with new owners. Wish the greens were faster. Might be growing them out because it looked aerated recently. Other than that, it is in good shape. I’m ready to go back asap.
Poor Course Management
Friendly staff, fair priced. But letting an 8some play on a Sunday afternoon is absurd. Ruined pace of play, left on the 15th hole
