About
There's no doubt Red Wolf Golf Resort is a Texas-themed facility, complete with holes named after the Harrington's bulls (they are providers of bulls for professional rodeos) and a Southwestern-styled clubhouse. As for the golf course, Jay Riviere's design has always been considered a fine layout. Take advantage of the easier front nine by scoring well on the opening holes. No. 9 is the most difficult hole on the course. It shoots through a narrow opening uphill into the sloped fairway. This one is mean -- it was formerly a par 5 -- and requires a long approach over a lake.

Doesn’t look bad in the picture but it is. Luckily there’s been a lot of rain. Give it a couple of weeks in this heat it will all be brown. Photo submitted by u480307563 on 08/06/2024

Golfer Reviews
Very good for the price.
This course is fun to play. It’s a challenging track with a lot of challenging holes. The majority of the course is really fun. Some of the holes are very moist every time I have played there. The staff is very nice and attentive. Overall, for the price, I really enjoy this course. Fantastic for a novice like me. I don’t want to spend $100+ to lose balls and be in the woods. All in all, I recommend.
A little rough!!!!
This course is ok, but as TX has gotten hotter, this course has dried up, and hard as a rock.
Had a 8:15 t-time got to the course at 7:30 club house locked up. Morning staff was a no show.
Don’t book
Booked a tee time for 03:15 pm, show up to the clubhouse and no one is there and the whole place is locked up and not a soul in sight. Try calling the number on their website and after 5 rings straight to voicemail. Don’t waste your time and gas going out to this ghost town.
Booked through GolfNow and they were closed
Sad experience since I’ve always had great experiences at Red Wolf. Booked a tee time through GolfNow app and showed up to realize they were completely shut down. No one in the office or anything. Be better about your app partners to Inform of closures. We will still be back but just do better regarding this communication. Couldn’t even get a refund because no one was there to answer the phone and confirm the closure. Sad.
Layout was great
Overall good course. A few tough holes but not bad for the price. Will play again
Good but needs some work
The fairway grass were pretty long and the greens had quite a bit of sand on them. The grass is probably long for the heat and odds are they just fertilized so it's understandable.

🚨COURSE CLOSED🚨
DO NOT BOOK, The course has closed sometime between March and now (June) and has fallen to complete disrepair. If you play you’ll have to walk and the conditions will be similar to the 1800s
Do not come here.
Everything Online said that the course was open. drove over an hour to play and not a soul was here. waited 45 minutes for anyone to show up and tried to call the pro and course number. nothing. walked the first 4 holes and the course was in such disrepair it made it impossible to finish.
Good for what the green fee is
the staff and greeens are excellent, the driving range, tee boxes and layout are good but the fairways\sand traps are little less desirable.
