Red Wolf Golf Resort
About
There's no doubt Red Wolf Golf Resort is a Texas-themed facility, complete with holes named after the Harrington's bulls (they are providers of bulls for professional rodeos) and a Southwestern-styled clubhouse. As for the golf course, Jay Riviere's design has always been considered a fine layout. Take advantage of the easier front nine by scoring well on the opening holes. No. 9 is the most difficult hole on the course. It shoots through a narrow opening uphill into the sloped fairway. This one is mean -- it was formerly a par 5 -- and requires a long approach over a lake.

Doesn’t look bad in the picture but it is. Luckily there’s been a lot of rain. Give it a couple of weeks in this heat it will all be brown. Photo submitted by u480307563 on 08/06/2024

Not worth the price to play
Course was not in good shape...Definitely not worth the price to play...grass was high...greens had alot of bare spots
Don’t book
Booked a tee time for 03:15 pm, show up to the clubhouse and no one is there and the whole place is locked up and not a soul in sight. Try calling the number on their website and after 5 rings straight to voicemail. Don’t waste your time and gas going out to this ghost town.
Booked through GolfNow and they were closed
Sad experience since I’ve always had great experiences at Red Wolf. Booked a tee time through GolfNow app and showed up to realize they were completely shut down. No one in the office or anything. Be better about your app partners to Inform of closures. We will still be back but just do better regarding this communication. Couldn’t even get a refund because no one was there to answer the phone and confirm the closure. Sad.
Layout was great
Overall good course. A few tough holes but not bad for the price. Will play again
Good but needs some work
The fairway grass were pretty long and the greens had quite a bit of sand on them. The grass is probably long for the heat and odds are they just fertilized so it's understandable.

Nice layout
Nice layout, but it needed to be mowed and manicured better, we spent to much time looking for balls, even in the fairways.
🚨COURSE CLOSED🚨
DO NOT BOOK, The course has closed sometime between March and now (June) and has fallen to complete disrepair. If you play you’ll have to walk and the conditions will be similar to the 1800s
Do not come here.
Everything Online said that the course was open. drove over an hour to play and not a soul was here. waited 45 minutes for anyone to show up and tried to call the pro and course number. nothing. walked the first 4 holes and the course was in such disrepair it made it impossible to finish.
Good for what the green fee is
the staff and greeens are excellent, the driving range, tee boxes and layout are good but the fairways\sand traps are little less desirable.
bring your mosquito reppellant
course closed
Golf now took our reservation fee and the course was closed. I don't see any option on getting money back so I left a review about golf now taking the money and not refunding it and also the course being closed but still accepting reservations. No happy with either and is completely unacceptable by both golf now and red wolf
Losing Balls in the Fairway
WE decided to try to course again because a marshal at Cypresswood said the course has improved. I will never take anyone word again without looking at the latest reviews. My title is literally what it is because of the amount of weed in the middle of the fairway and I literally could not find my ball and trust I do not need any help searching for balls. There is not part of the course in good condition. From the bare club house to the cart paths. I was so afraid of going across the bridges because of the poor upkeep every place else. I'm sorry!
Not good
The course was riddled with ant beds and the restrooms were really scary and worse than a roadside gas station.
