About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Golfer Reviews
Numerous greens in horrible shape and pace of play was not good
I am getting frustrated with golf in Houston. The courses want to charge a premium $ 120 per weekend round yet the course condition is not maintained to a standard that equates to what is being paid. I had numerous greens that were painted over on what appears to be fungus spots on green, numerous fairways are absolutely brown ( I’m assuming not enough water) and two bunkers were the sand was so little I felt as if I was hitting the liner. Then let’s talk about the pace of play…. Almost 5 hours to play and not one ranger asking the slow groups to pick it up. So slow the twosome I played with quit midway through back 9. I really love the track layout and staff are pleasant just wish the fees were going to the course and rangers attending to slow play.
Terrible course conditions
To be fair, the staff was amazing. From the gentleman who informed me of a veterans discount to the starter, to the bar staff. All were welcoming, helpful and informative. Unfortunately the course is appalling. I understand that it’s hot and it has not rained, but the course was not well maintained at all. Although the greens were decent, the fairways were extremely poor, hard, and dry. It looked like an abandoned course at times. Don’t waste your money and time.
Needs rain!!
The greens and sand traps are in very good shape. The fairways are hurting for some rain. They are becoming very dry and crusty and you can see the track marks left by gold carts. Pace of play was excellent as the heat kept most normal people away. They could definitely use a few more water stations and some cups.
Need rain
Fairways very dry. Also many if not all fairways had tire tracks from driving when it probably should have been cart path only.
Greens great. Traps good
Terrible Conditions
This course charged $125 for a weekend afternoon tee time. The course conditions were terrible. The fairways grass was completely dead, so you are hitting out of dirt or dead grass in the “fairways”. The greens were missing grass everywhere and they were all cut different lengths, so good luck with rolling anything consistent. Needless to say, I will not be playing here again. Don’t waste your money here.
Rushed
We were delayed teeing off by the group ahead of us, which is completely fine, but the Marshall stopped us 3x starting on hole 11 telling us we were 45 minutes behind (we were not) he proceeded 2 more times on 14 and 17. We waiting on the group ahead of us several times and still finished in 4:25 minutes. It’s a big green fee be be harrased and rushed specially when you’re not behind. We never stopped we played at normal pace.
Great course
7:10a tee time. Pace of play was 4 hours 5 min. Greens were in good shape and rolled true. They had some tee boxes adjusted due to mtx to flatline some out with new sod which will be nice. Overall always a good course.
Good round
I have played out at Tour 18 a bunch of times and enjoyed this round due to the pace of play. It was quick, just over four hours, given that I was paired up with three guys who were not great golfers. Typically, rounds out here are much longer and part of the reason why I do not play here more often.
Great shape
Course was on great shape except a couple of tee boxes being rebuilt. Pace of play was good. Only complaint was that the greens were a bit slow, assumed they were afraid with the heat to cut them shorter. Best course around for the money especially since you get the gollfpass hot deals
Greens in great shape...a little slow rolling.
Tour 18 Houston has fairways and greens in great condition. Looking wonderful. Course was moderately difficult partly because the greens were a little slow probably to keep the grass in good shape. Overall the round was great and it was very enjoyable.
Enjoyable round of golf
Course condition in decent shape - Greens a little bumpy as recovering from being punched earlier in the month. Pro shop staff and Bar staff very friendly!
Past its Prime!
Played this course a few years ago and it was very nice. It has definitely seen better times.
The entrance sign looks like a $2 banner. The drive in looks like something from the movie “Deliverance”.
The Clubhouse is depressing, the bathrooms were disgusting and the driving range is dumpy.
This course should be $40 bucks at best, but $125 is crazy and I was a moron for paying that much!
