Stonebridge at Newport

Course was great overall. But about a third of the greens were covered in crab grass which was annoying.

Out in sticks but an average track, good for money. A few weeds on greens. But greens rolled ok. Good place to eat, staff nice

This course has potential but needs up keep.

For the price it show signs of better greens and fairways. For us amateur golfers its’s okay but drop the price a little.

Played the course for the first time. This after a day of heavy rain. The course was still in good condition. A bit difficult as the fairways are not too wide, didn’t really use my driver, only playing with irons.

Stonebridge has the potential to be amazing. But the greens are absolutely horrible. And they over water everything. It’s super soft. Bunkers were compact. Driving range is minimalist. Chipping green is literally a cup cut in the ground, no green to mention. Putting green is in better shape than the actual greens.

They’re charging way too much for half the greens to be basically unputtable.

Needs more bunkers and someone who can rehab the greens.

Greens and tee boxes could use some work but fairways and layout are exceptional. I think it’s slightly over priced until they fix the greens

We played lift clean & place. The greens were a little fuzzy, but rolled ok. Layout was fun. We had a couple of novices, so we played from the gold's and kept up fine.

It was farther from Pearland than GN app suggested, but we'd play again

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this course.

Although I had an 18-hole tee time, play was severely delayed due to very slow groups ahead, and there was no effective pace-of-play management. Eventually, I had to give up the back nine altogether.

And also, a marshal, who had not been managing the pace of play at all, summoned me by repeatedly gesturing with his finger in a rude manner and then scolded me for allegedly driving a cart onto the green. I have over 10 years of golfing experience and have never driven a cart onto or near a green. Despite this, he claimed he “heard it from the group behind” and reprimanded me without verifying the facts. It was very uncomfortable and disrespectful experience.

I will not be returning to this course and cannot recommend it to others.

Solid course, kinda tucked away. I liked how quiet it was. Pace was great for seasoned players or people like myself still learning.
