Play here often, and we always have a great outing.
Welcome back Newport
I play Newport once a year. The course is in fantastic shape. The tee boxes are level, fairway and greens in stellar shape. Cart paths smooth. Carts are like new. Pro shop gals rock. If in NE Houston don't overlook this course!

Good tight course
Friendly staff, driving range was nice and good tight layout. I was a single, front nine was quick backed up on the back nine.

Always enjoy going out there. 30 minute drive from home, and can't remember ever having a bad experience.

Course is in a beautiful location that rites through the neighboring houses. A variety of hole and strategy required to complete. Course was in a bit of rough shape. Hard fairways and greens that aren’t getting the moisture they need to stay lush and healthy. I paid a discounted rate via GolfNow, so not upset about $36. The guy I caught up with and joined posted closer to $70. I would not spend $70.
This Course is Great Value
Course is beautiful, a few water features, pace was moderate. Greens were in great shape, a couple spotty areas or some golfer whoopsies. Lots of houses as it runs through a neighborhood. Don’t trespass private property. Lots of beautiful white oaks and pines.

The course is very good for the price point. Will definitely be going back, friendly staff all around. Would recommend!

Played Newport’s Golf Course at Stonebridge and had a great time overall. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The course conditions were a bit mixed ,the roughs were tough and definitely punished me lol, and a few greens could use some work, but it was still an enjoyable round. Would give it another go.
Worst course I’ve ever played
One of the worst courses I’ve ever played if not the worst besides the staff being friendly and understanding which they were, I can’t blame them on that the course itself is like playing a course Jed from the Beverly hillbillies put up Four rednecks, wanted to fight with us for not letting them play through our foursome After we went down range they hit their golf balls anyway, and we were ducking and dodging golf balls. Almost had a fight. Children running on the fairway while you’re hitting your ball off the fairway almost hit one of them. Fairways look like rough’s. greens look like fairways I’ve actually seen fairways in better shape. no Marshall. I walked off on hold number 10 I couldn’t take it anymore. Oh there was also people making bonfires on the side of the fairway burning trash besides the staff and management being totally cool and understanding they did refund our money back, but I wouldn’t waste your time.
Nice hidden challenge.
Good course layout. Maybe 1 quirky hole #9. It's fun to play. Little out theway but im in range. Only issue is the greens need attention. Course needs a bit more grass on it.
