Mystic Dunes Golf Club

This course was in absolute horrible condition. Do not waste the money!! Very overpriced, for the conditions. WASTE OF MONEY!!

We were waiting on every hole from the 4th T to the 12th tee.

If we have to start paying winter rates- they need to have a ranger in course.

Golfers- please learn to pick up your ball if you can’t keep up with the group ahead of you.

As always great personnel who manage the course. From the entry door through out the fairways. Is the place we love to go to when we depart the Tampa Area for some good golf. Pace of play great!!!!!! Course in fantastic condition when you consider what type of weather we have had over the past month. Will be back before the end of the year....

If you are sick of playing flat courses then you need to play Mystic Dunes! Lots of elevation change and I always seemed to find myself with shots on uneven ground which made for a more challenging round. The greens are big and have a lot of undulation making for some crazy putts. I shot an 89 which is high for me but being the first time there I'll take it.

Great layout and well maintained. Challenging and requires shot placement. Can play tough in the wind. One of my favorites in the Orlando area. Close to the theme parks.

I have played this course before. But it was over a span of many years. I play golf monthly with a 4 some and picked this course to play in October. I was worried about the course conditions as I received an email the day before stating that their grass was yellow due to being dormant. Freaked me out. We drive 1.5 horse to play a course with dead grass. We did that at falcons fire.

But when we arrived, the course looked good and the drive in was tree lined and beautiful. We Parked at the bag drop and was immediately greeted and our bags loaded onto our respective carts. The clubhouse is extremely clean and well organized. With merchandise that is staged perfectly and priced right. The cost was $89 with a cart which is very reasonable for the winter rates in Orlando.

Once on the course, it was well maintained and even though we had had a decent amount of rain the bunkers looked amazing and well cared for. This course as I mentioned is a true challenge. Most holes are dog legs with bunkers well placed and even some that have high walls around them. We only ran into 2 greens that had not recovered from last years severe frost. Other than that they were pristine. And not one and I mean, not one was flat. They ALL had some type of undulation that made a par near impossible for a low average player.

The bar inside at the turn was huge. Well stocked. with all types of beer and liquor along with great food. The service was quick and hot. Almost forgot to mention the beer girl. She was on the course by 9:30 am, which is huge as most courses don’t staff one until after 11:00 am. Which stinks for the early golfers.

I would recommend this course to anyone at any level of game. You won’t be disappointed at all.

Greens were mediocre at best. There was no consistency to the speed. Lots of patchy spots or under repair. Lots of fairway spots also under repair.

On a golf trip with 12 guys. We found the course to be in below average condition especially the greens. Many were in poor condition. Fairways and tee boxes were fine but without good greens the ball rolll was completely unpredictable. Not a great value for $86.

This is a very unique golf course that is not typical of central Florida with knowing where to avoid off the tee and make sure you know the pin placements because they can be pretty severe if you’re on the wrong side. Conditions have improved drastically since Hilton took over the property and see continual work on fixing couple of the greens.
