Mystic Dunes Golf Club
About
Carved from rolling orange groves and native, protected wetlands, Mystic Dunes Golf Club sits on the edge of the premier travel destination in the world yet offers a feeling of escape from it all. Located just two miles south of Walt Disney World, Mystic Dunes was designed by PGA Tour player and NBC golf analyst Gary Koch.
Tee-to-green, this golf course is stylish blend of classic strategic forms and thoroughly modern methods, but it is its greens that will make this course notable beyond whatever regional reputation it develops. Greens reminiscent of Augusta National, par-4 holes that rival in length to some of the longest seen in major championships, and a diabolical quartet of par 3s that seem to get more intense as the round progresses are just some of the features on this 7,012 yard, par-71 track. Mystic Dunes will leave a lasting impression on you.

Nice track
We knew that greens had been through a round of maintenance & the rate paid reflected that. They hadn't been cut for about a week, thus very, very slow. Not a true reflection of their obvious difficulty from the different levels & undulations. Fairways were in good shape, grass in the rough was inconsistent. Some waste bunkers were essentially extended fairway bunkers, complete with rakes. Each hole was unique. Lack of course knowledge caused some challenges on a few holes but the GPS helped a lot. Will go back to play again when the greens are more normal.
Needs TLC and it would be a 5 ⭐ resort golf course
Challenging but fun
I stunk it up out there but would love to come back and play. Greens were recently aerated so putts were really slow and bumpy. Very challenging with slope and elevation for a FL course.
Awesome layout
We had sixsomes on both sides who would not let faster players play through. Ended up skipping 4 holes on order to finish in a timely manner. Greens and fairways ok, most everything else is being let go. What a great layout.
Nice course
Mystic Dunes is always fun to play, the course is in good conditions. From the black tee box a good challenge, especially the 571 par 5 , 8th hole .
The 11th hole is a beautiful par 3 … all in all a course to play for sure.
Good golf and good friends
We golfed at mystic dunes and course was in great shape, pace of play was be great and met are golfers are now friends.it was great round for me and my wife.
Nice for the price
The course was in good shape. I was worried when i saw the green fee that it might be in trouble, but it was great for the considering that area. I have played the course several times before, it's not as pristine as it once was. But it's still a course worth playing if you're in the area.
A course for shot makers..
1st time playing the course and I love it. I'm an average golfers so I found the course kind of difficult being it was my 1st time playing their. But if u can control your distance and shape your ball you will score low. And yes I would play it again.
Hardest course in Central Florida
This is by far the most challenging course in central Florida. Par 3 played 257 yards. Pins placement and greens really put your short game to the test. Tee shots had to be accurate if you wanted any chance of scoring. A lot of repairs on the greens. Only issue is they have a Florida resident rate but they only told me that after purchasing my round? 30$ difference would help knowing or maybe the pro shop asking if your a Florida resident to save you some money would be helpful. Other then that I would say this is a must play course.
Enjoy the challdnge
Really like this course I struggle at times but it has a number of placement holes that are challenging.
Enjoyable course with challenging layout
Course was under repair with recent aeration and new sod noted in various places, including greens. Plays long and requires some precision shots. Very undulating greens difficult to read. Overall, a good place to play given the right price which is hard to get anymore.
In bad shape
This is my second time playing here. It is a tough course but a beautiful layout. First, the greens were in bad shape. There was sand on just about every hole making difficult to put. The greens are already hard enough without the sand. Second, some of the greens had patches of new grass making it difficult to put because it would slow down your shot. For $35 it's OK but for more than that I will go somewhere else. Staff are very friendly and awesome to deal with which is a plus.
First timer, will be returning
Wow! I enjoyed my round even though I played so poorly. This course is fun to play. Reminds me of my home course at balboa park in San Diego. My only negative comment would be about the greens. There were 4 holes where the greens were in such bad shape you could not roll the ball. It’s obvious they’re working on it so hopefully that improves. But they maintain the course so well besides those issues which could be freeze related damage. I think if I played the course again id know more about what it’ll take to score here. Proper approach shots, these greens are really hard/gimmicky and the way you approach really can make or break a score card. Everyone was friendly and I will be coming back!
needs better maintenance on the grass
for a highly rated course - the upkeep on the grass is somewhat terrible.
It needs some TLC. Not sure if they have a fungus issue - there are some really bald spots out there and the price for T time does not reflect that. There are some greens that will not hold your ball. We call them the upside down bowl greens.
Way over priced
Greens were full of so many patches you couldn’t putt through them.
Pretty Decent
This course is only going to get better if they continue to maintain it some greens were under construction but we’re still rolling well the staff was great from the guy in the pro shop and the twins at the carts will only get better with the summer rain
What a difference
Played Mystic Dunes years ago when it was new and it was great , returned a couple of years later and what a disappointment, was delighted at my visit yesterday as it was terrific ( couple of trouble spots on greens ) but from where it was to now is such a turnaround. Will play again without a doubt .
