Celebration Golf Club

First off, this course has terrible drainage and the back 9 was cart path only that unsurprising. Been there before had the same issue. But the thing that really brings this course down this time, they were watering the back 9 that was cart path only due to wet conditions. We were the first group off and we get to 10 and the sprinklers are going. We went to the starter and he said he will contact them to turn it off, 20 mins go by sprinklers are still running. I called the front desk no one answers, sends me to a customer service person off the course, tell her what is happening. She tries to call the front desk and she tells me that no one is answering. She tells me to call back in 20 mins, keep in mind already been the for 20 mins on a course that is already soaked. Finally after about 45 mins of waiting we get someone to turn off the sprinklers. We found out that they were supposed to be off at 8:30 the time we got to the hole was 8:52 so the sprinklers were running over 20 mins past what they were supposed to be. We got off the hole at about 9:35. The hole was so wet that all of our tee shots plugged immediately. Honestly worst experience overall I have had at this golf course, between the way it was handled and the wait.

We were unlucky to play the course after several days of heavy rain so back 9 was cart path only. We are low handicap golfers playing off the back tees. Pace of play was slowish and we waited on every tee. Was a bit upset when course Marshall said we were behind time. I did say do you want us to hit over the group in front’s heads. Green’s were not good but you have to have maintenance but the back tees were not kept well and on several holes it was a blind tee shot not because of layout but overgrown water weeds. Layout and staff were good and it was good value for money overall. Would love to give the course a 5 star but couldn’t honestly do this on this visit.

We were not warned about the HEAVY aerification of the greens when I booked on GolfNow. It was severe. I have played this course many times, and I like the layout, but there was no offer of a refund, rain check, etc. I won’t be back.

We enjoyed a solid round on Sunday morning. The pace of play was excellent - @ 4 hours for a foursome. We waited briefly on a few holes and held up the group behind us for a few holes but generally cruised through the round at an enjoyable pace. We enjoyed the challenging layout and found the greens to be true. Celebration is a great public golf course with nice amenities and an "almost private" feel to it.

They are putting the full court press on course improvement and it shows. Greens rolling true. Fairways impeccable. Great staff. Highly recommended.

The course was in good shape, the staff was super friendly and helpful. They even included a meal with the cost of the round and it was good.

We just had to fight off the raccoon that got in our cart and tried to steal our snacks as we were putting on the 13th hole.

Everything about this club was great. We really enjoyed it.

This is Robert Trent Jones course, so lots of water but difficultly was appropriate. Course was is very good shape, A few tee boxes and greens were still recovering from a somewhat recent punch but overall very good. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Pace was great, teed off around 7:20 and was done 3 hours later. The best part was the value. About $70 for Florida resident for golf, cart, range balls and lunch. Will definitely be back!

Been a few times to this course. It has gone downhill. Greens were poor. Bumpy slow and we're full of sand in places making the greens unplayable. Fairways were patchy soft and in a lot of places boggy with a lot of the holes being cart path only. Was getting mud balls in the fairways. The pace of play was the worst part. Tee was 7,50am you would think it would be a reasonable pace. Starter was very clear that the pace of play must be maintained yet from the word go sat behind a 4ball with groups backed up on tees from the second hole this is unacceptable at any course. Not once seen a course marshall on the way round till the half way at the club house when we told him that it is really slow. Group in front will not call though even when looking for balls. The reply was the 10th tee is that way and drove off. We ended up with a 5hour round in high 90s heat. I will not be back to this course again and was one of the more expensive courses in the area.

Disappointed with eatery .. staff wise ..

we ordered some drinks and food to sit outside .. was explained would need to arrive in a tale way box which is fine .. But then when the food was ready it was not brought out to us but left on the bar counter to collect .. And as was not explained we waited a while before asking where our food was and they said it’s on the bar counter and as was not very warm when we ate it had been sitting there a while .. .. Thought that was unacceptable .. .. In fairness the taste of the food was very good …

Celebration Golf Club ranks at the top of my list as a must play pubic course. I’ll start right off the top by saying the hospitality is like those of a private clubs, they meet you at your vehicle get your clubs check your tee time and off to the pro shop where you greeted with smile and explanation and a review of the course. The starter was on point lined you up according to tee time and sent each tee time up to the tee box as soon as the group before was on the green very structured. The cart girl was amazing very fast to ensure the course didn’t get slowed because of her. Finally the course was in great shape the fairways were perfect and the greens putted true. This is 5 star plus course with a 5 star staff my group will be back again for sure 👍

Each hole had something interesting. There were beautiful homes lining some of the fairways and greensand there was spectacular wildlife and nature to observe, The course had challenges around every corner; perfectly placed bunkers and blind shots around tall trees. Greens were fair.

When a made reservation was write included meat, but in checkin i received information not included!!

This course is a great layout and very challenging.

Greens were still a little bumpy from last time they were aerated. Some bare spots in fairways due to drought and traps were very firm with vey little sand.

But overall a very good day of golf.

One criticism… the restaurant/pub charged $29 for a pitcher of beer. I realize it’s a course catering to tourists but is it really necessary to up charge that much. Next time we skip the restaurant and head to a nearby pub.

Otherwise it was a good day of golf.

Basically the whole back 9 was cart path only which is status quo for this course in the summer. It is what it is but ahead of us was the teaching giving kids lessons and driving his cart which was basically a stretched cart limo in the middle of the fairway. My whole group thought this was hypocritical

Thoroughly enjoyed playing at Celebration for first time. Course layout is good with some very challenging holes. Greens had been recently aerated but were running quite true (pity my putting wasn’t!).

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Course is very well signposted which is definitely needed as it meanders through various areas.

Only issue was pace of play. A 4 ball two groups ahead seemed oblivious to everyone behind them. Frustrating, but didn’t spoil our day.

Highly recommend playing there. We will be back soon.
