Mystic Dunes Golf Club

Great layout and well maintained. Challenging and requires shot placement. Can play tough in the wind. One of my favorites in the Orlando area. Close to the theme parks.

I have played this course before. But it was over a span of many years. I play golf monthly with a 4 some and picked this course to play in October. I was worried about the course conditions as I received an email the day before stating that their grass was yellow due to being dormant. Freaked me out. We drive 1.5 horse to play a course with dead grass. We did that at falcons fire.

But when we arrived, the course looked good and the drive in was tree lined and beautiful. We Parked at the bag drop and was immediately greeted and our bags loaded onto our respective carts. The clubhouse is extremely clean and well organized. With merchandise that is staged perfectly and priced right. The cost was $89 with a cart which is very reasonable for the winter rates in Orlando.

Once on the course, it was well maintained and even though we had had a decent amount of rain the bunkers looked amazing and well cared for. This course as I mentioned is a true challenge. Most holes are dog legs with bunkers well placed and even some that have high walls around them. We only ran into 2 greens that had not recovered from last years severe frost. Other than that they were pristine. And not one and I mean, not one was flat. They ALL had some type of undulation that made a par near impossible for a low average player.

The bar inside at the turn was huge. Well stocked. with all types of beer and liquor along with great food. The service was quick and hot. Almost forgot to mention the beer girl. She was on the course by 9:30 am, which is huge as most courses don’t staff one until after 11:00 am. Which stinks for the early golfers.

I would recommend this course to anyone at any level of game. You won’t be disappointed at all.

Greens were mediocre at best. There was no consistency to the speed. Lots of patchy spots or under repair. Lots of fairway spots also under repair.

On a golf trip with 12 guys. We found the course to be in below average condition especially the greens. Many were in poor condition. Fairways and tee boxes were fine but without good greens the ball rolll was completely unpredictable. Not a great value for $86.

This is a very unique golf course that is not typical of central Florida with knowing where to avoid off the tee and make sure you know the pin placements because they can be pretty severe if you’re on the wrong side. Conditions have improved drastically since Hilton took over the property and see continual work on fixing couple of the greens.

I own two properties in Kissimmee but I do not have a resident ID. I do not know why Mystic Dunes applies higher rates for non residents. I do not know other golf course doing this. That's why I ussually play in other places.

Great course layout and enjoyable to play. Greens had just been cored so they were slow but was notified before registering and green fees were reduced. Course drains well so not restricted to cart path even during really wet stretch where most corses were.

Course, staff and faculty were excellent. Course lay out was fantastic and the greens were a great challenge. The only negative thing I had was that there was no ranger keeping track of the slow playing group in front of us. Our round took 5 1/2 hours, way too long. The carts are equipped with GPS and kept telling us how far behind the pace of play we were at. You would think the course would be able to see what was happening and send someone out to move things along.

Other than that, great time had playing this course for the first time.

Mystic Dunes is a very nice golf course. The layout is well done. The fairways and tee boxes were in good shape. The greens were aerated about a week ago so they were a little sandy and slow but they will be very nice in a month or two.

They recently aerated the greens, it'll probably be a couple weeks until the greens will be excellent. The fairways and the overall course is in great condition! Loved it...........

The couse is in decent shape, but the greens were aerated and sanded which under the wet conditions made scoring a real challenge. In several cases i had balls hit on a downhill slope stop because of tge wet sand.

I would wait 3-4 weeks before booking to have a better experience on the greens.

The staff and restaurant are excellent.

I will be back in the future.

Course was in reasonable condition. I played off the blue tees which was an extra challenge as the course was wet from an early down pour. Green were quite slow which was frustrating.

Very nice layout without relying on length. Greens had just been aerated so extremely slow and Sandy but had mentioned that in advance. Lots of undulations and rolling hills and multitiered greens. Price was reduced due to aerating so great value. Would like to play when greens are better. With all the rain still allowed carts and drains well as very few wet spots.
