The 18-hole Falcon's Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1993. Designed by Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, Falcon's Fire Golf Club measures 7006 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 73.2 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are tifdwarf bermuda and the fairways are bermuda grass.
Falcon's Fire, a Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead signature masterpiece, is typically wide open, however, shot accuracy is essential. Fairways and greens are well bunkered, and water hazards are a common occurrence.

Worst round all year
Didn’t disclose cart path only, 6 hour round. Cancel your tee times here
Bad, bad , bad
Fairways on front nine were 4 to 6 inches due to overseed which was not revealed when we booked the round!! Greens were spotty with some areas that needed repair and the round took almost 5:45 hours

Very disappointed
After we paid we were informed by the starter that they had just overseeded the course and was watering it. So cart path only. The fairways were NOT cut at all. Looked like they hadn’t been cut in weeks.
Arrive at the first green to find out that they had just sanded every green.
Since it was cart path only, if you went off the path by 2-3 feet the cart shut down. Reversed onto the path. Cart worked fine. A few holes later the cart was on the path, just died. Asked for a new cart to be brought out. None came. Cart started working again after a few minutes. Cart failed again.

Will NEVER return to this course
Booked to play 18 holes. When we arrived, the course was packed and ONLY 9 HOLES WERE AVAILABLE TO PLAY because they were overseeding!!! We asked if there was a 9 hole fee as we could accept playing a 3 hour 9 hole round but the associate said NO. We left and went to another course that was great and will now be our Go To course when we are in town. I contacted GOLF NOW to see if we could get our $22.55 refunded since we didn't play there. GOLF NOW contacted the course and they refused to refund our deposit as it was needed to hold the time. Don't waste your time here. The last time we played, we quit after 5-1/2 hours and were only on the 12th hole! There are plenty of other very nice courses in the area that treat the golfers nicely. Patronize them instead! (PS, GOLF NOW realized how badly we were treated and gave us 2 promo code coupons to use on any other tee times in the future to reimburse us)

No transparency
We had some record rainfall a few days prior to our round but wasn't prepared for the impact it had on the course. On speaking to the course a day prior to our round we were not informed that it was cart path only. They undoubtably knew this at the time and suspecting we would cancel, omitted to inform us. We appreciated as to why it was cart path only. Most of the course was wet through and virtually all the bunkers were 3-6 inches under water. We lost ball in green side bunkers due to them being submerged. The course was barely playable and should not have been open with the time spent on restoring it to playable condition.
Perhaps when people call to book a tee time they should be informed its cart path only in an effort to be honest and upfront so informed decisions regarding playing there can be made. Disappointing experience.

Cart path only
Course design is excellent. Greens could be a little rough in spots but the main downfall was cart path only. Felt like we might as well just walked the course. Also,didn’t know we would need to play front 9 twice For taxing day, still worth the money.

Great value
It's been a couple years since I played here and was disappointing the course conditions, however it just could be time of year (late October)
It's a great value at $65 cart included and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Disappointed
The course lay out was great but the conditions were awful. The tire tracks from the maintenance crew was more pronounced than it should be. Parts of the fairway didn’t have grass, just dirt and sand. The green’s condition was very inconsistent where there was a lot of sand on it and bunch of dirt spots. If it wasn’t for a great pace of play, it would be a total disaster.

Needs work
Needs work. Nice layout. Challenging yet doable. Bare spots in fairways, some greens have bare spots also. Sand bunkers need sand. This used to be a top notch course, but it has fallen on some hard times.

Very slow Pace
4hrs and 15 minutes into my round was still at 13th hole.
It wasn’t the players, just how they had all the tee times crammed up.
To top it off after the 9th hole they started à two some on the back nine.

Nothing special
The staff were very friendly and that’s all it has going for it really. Probably half of the tee boxes have little to no grass. Quite a few greens were in rough shape. The course was still very soggy and soft. There was no cart girl and the temps were in the high 80’s to low 90’s. Other than the price it’s not worth anymore than that to play. The course was wide open and the pace of play way still very slow.

Mud everywhere and only a hand full of full greens
pro was rude and yelled from office instead of coming out to desk and being professional and having a conversation like most adults do. Mud everywhere. First 4-5 greens all have massive dead spots and are not full. Tee boxes are barley level and have a bunch of dead grass. Mud everywhere fairways green side and rough, might’ve been 4-5 greens that were actually full and healthy. Slow greens. A lot of unkept bunkers.They don’t want to drop your stuff off at that bag drop when you’re finished instead you get to lug it up the hill.

Better Options in Orlando
I played here several years ago and had fond memories, however, when I arrived I knew right away things had changed. The course staff was super friendly, however the conditions appear to be the a scenario where ownership’s interest in keeping the course aesthetically pleasing is lacking. The layout is what I remembered, which is good, but this is definitely a situation where you get what you pay for.
