Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club
About
Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club (formerly known as Sugar Cane Golf Club), as its name would imply, sprawls across western Palm Beach County's vast sugar cane fields. Opened in 1987, the golf course features mature landscaping and a classic design that is challenging but playable. Water hazards come into play several times throughout the course and there are also numerous strategically placed traps concentrated along the greensides. One of the best aspects of the golf course that makes it stand out from others in Palm Beach County is the peace and quiet offered by its secluded setting. Golfers are surrounded by wildlife including alligators and bald eagles rather than cars and homes. It is one of the county's best-kept secrets.

Golfer Reviews
Undergoing
Currently the greens are being prepared for the upcoming winter season and the back nine is unavailable (the better half in my opinion). In addition, because of the work being done on the greens ALL of the front nine holes have temporary greens carved out of the faraway in front of the real greens.
Nevertheless, the course is still enjoyable to me and one of the more affordable courses in the area. I look forward when the back nine is reopened and all the greens restored.
A Fun Course
Great course overall, font 9 greens are a little beat up, but back 9 greens are good. Fun course to play a round on with friends.
Greens need help! Back 9 Great!
The greens on the front 9 need some serious help! Some were just dirt. The back 9 on the other hand was incredible. At this time I would recommend playing the back 9 twice!
Save your Money, Don't Play Here!
80+ years old front 9, first 4 holres were actually nice, but the greens are lacking and do not resemble greens. Got to Tee box for 5, played down the fairway and couldn't find the green. No pin or flag to signify where the hole actually was located. Got too frustrated and went to clubhouse to let them know the issues. Left without finishing my round. It had lots of promise but not worth my driving 100 miles.round trip to play.
Being mosquito repellant
tons of mosquitos, course in good condition, grass is long on the greens so they’re slow and grass long in fairways ball may disappear. They were cutting the grass while we played. Best value and staff is always excellent.
Challenging and Fun course
Back nine designed by Gary Player is challenging and the whole 18 is deceptively simple. Very friendly clubhouse.
Course has an excellent layout however green is a very poor other than that course has potential
Better than expected
I have played here over the years, conditions tend to vary. Judging by reviews I was hesitant but for the price we gave it a try. Front 9 is in rough shape, some greens are beat up but overall better than i had expected. Back 9 was in pretty good shape and is definitely the better part of the course with some challenging holes and water. Greens much better on the back. Overall worth the ride if you're looking for a change at a course you can easily get on for a bargain price. Just keep an open mind, not for golf snobs!
Staff. Friendliest Ever
Cindy was fabulous. Course is fun to play. Not to busy for this time of year. Had a great time.
