Nice
This was one of the most beautiful courses I have played. Very scenic and in great condition for this time of year. Unfortunately I heard that the course will be closing soon. I was planning to bring some friend from FL. I thoroughly enjoyed this course.
Hate to see it go !!!!!
Always a very good challenge. But, do hate to see that they are closing sometime near the end of the year....
wonderful course
This course is one of the best layouts in the greater Atlanta area but unfortunately I was told it is closing in January. Due yourself a favor and try to play it before it closes.
Overall, Nice Course And Experience
The course was in pretty good shape. The greens were in VERY good shape and quite fast. Staff was friendly and couldn't beat the price!
Always Great Track....
I always love playing this course. You must hit it straight and avoid all of the ditches and keep it in the fairway.
Great shape!
This course is very unforgiving! Rough is thick, and a lot of woods. Gotta hit the fairways! But the greens are rolling good and the course is in great shape.
ALWAYS as good as you'll find
I've played here 5 or 6 times & everytime the experience has been top drawer. The staff is friendly & helpful. The carts & equipment are clean & well maintained. The course is always in great condition with plenty of grass in the fairways (very few bare spots) & greens that are receptive & roll true. I love the course layout, it's challenging for all skill levels but gives opportunities for carding a good score. I really like the level of seclusion & privacy with limited development around the course. If it were closer to my home (it's 50 miles), it would be, not just my favorite course, but my most played course as well. I can't say enough about this wonderful facility and how much I enjoy playing here. If you're looking for a great course for a fair price, you can't go wrong with this one. I HIGHLY reccommend it.
one of the better southside courses
if you havent tried this course and live on the ss....give it a go. Fun track, and is normally in good condition.
course needs wor
This course is one o0f the best layouts but needs some TLC. The greens were slow and some places sparse but overall a great layout that is challenging for any handicap. It is worth the drive especially for the price.
Dont Understand
This review has more to do with the personal than the course it self. The greens are not in great shape, but playable. I haven't had a chance to talk to anyone at the course prior to writing this review, so hopefully will hear from someone and they make it right. We had two groups of 3's on the course. First group was finishing the 8th hole and they just came an pulled the flag. No one told us why, didn't explain they were closing are anything, just pulled the flag. The sad part is that they passed by us on the tee boxes to get to the flag and nothing was said. We immediately proceed to the club house find out what was happening but everyone except Kyle had left. This was around 5:17 pm. I must say Kyle was very nice and apologetic but couldn't help since he worked in the bar and restaurant, but did take my name and promise to have someone call me. We have never had a problem in all the years of playing this course, so this totally caught us off guard, especially since we had a 3:30 tee time and no one mention at the time they would be closing early and no one warned us prior to pulling the flag. Just seem a little strange. Hoping to speak to the Club house tomorrow and get rain check or refunds for all the guys.
Don't miss the fairway
Fairways are perfect, but if you miss the fairway by 1 yards if you find your ball it's very difficult to advance it. Many balls have been lost by missing the fairway by a yard r two, the rough is very lush and tall, the ball sinks to the bottom, you almost have to step on the ball to find it. They have a lot of outing and the woods along the tee boxes and fairways are full of beer and drink cans, again because of the number of outing the greens are full of un repaired ball marks. This is a beautiful layout just requires some oversight
Nice
Tee time 8:00 on Labor Day and we started on time and pace was good, especially good for a holiday. Couple of greens still recovering from recent aeration.
Nice layout
I've always liked this course.it just needs some TLC. I've seen it in better shape. Still would recommend folks give it a try
Hit long or lay up...
Like many courses this time of year, they need to mow constantly. This course is designed so you either need to hit long (over underbrush) or lay up to avoid donating balls to the weeds. Assuming a "Tin Cup" attitude gets expensive. As a first time player, I was a bit disappointed at the hole markers. The scorecard does not have a map and many of the tee areas are missing the hole number designators. They also have no yardage signs. Signs to the next hole would be helpful in some cases, like number 7 and 8. And there is one for number 6 that points straight up.
Nice course
I enjoyed playing at this course. I will be back again
One of the nicest course southwest of Atlanta
Very nice course, worth the drive of an hour each way. Add to your bucket list. Course yardage book will help your first time
A tale of two nines
I haven't played here in 4 years and the only thing new is that they switched the nines.. I actually like that because the back nine is twice as good as the front. It just flows better and the look it pure golf! "Target Golf" that is..Man! you better drive the ball straight and long ( 7400+ yards from the back) but a lot of elavation so no need to hit driver on every hole like a wild man. Keep it in play or else you'll be buying more balls at the turn ha! They still have bent grass greens which is nice but they are not in the best of shape. Make the switch to bermuda greens asap Eagles Brooke and work on them bunkers! but we got a Great deal on golfnow so " I'll be back"
