Deer Valley Golf Course in Hummelstown boasts one of the most affordable rounds you'll find in the Hershey/Harrisburg area. Since opening in 2005, more than 850 trees have been added and it has matured into a course favored by both visitors and locals. The layout features large, elevated greens and massive multi-tiered tees. From the golf course's peaks, the views stretch all the way to Hershey and the Blue Mountains. The winding layout twists and turns, doglegging left and right. It's a challenging layout round despite the absence of sand bunkers. There is however, thick rough and a number of grass bunkers to watch out for. Water only makes a brief appearance. Deer Valley Golf Course isn't overly challenging but for a fun and fair test, it's an affordable option that also offers some beautiful scenery.

Just like the photos
I recommend playing this golf course. When I saw the beautiful fairways in photos I didn’t believe it, but as I drove up to the course it looked picture perfect. The greens were in excellent shape and the fairways were a fair challenge. A great course and the staff was right there to assist. Not far from Hershey if you are looking for somewhere to play when visiting there.
Deer Valley...a great find!
Loved the course! It was very reasonably priced and, at the price, you might think the course would be a little "rough" but it was actually in great condition. It was interesting that there were no bunkers/sand traps. I guess it is one way they keep maintenance costs down🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Anyways, it's the best deal around! Even the beers were reasonably priced! Win, win!!!

Great golf course . It never disappoints !! If I lived here I would play it every week ! I’ll be back next year for my annual golf trip with my brother . Keep up the great work Paula . And see you next year Jimmy .
Great layout
I love this course . I come back to PA every year to visit my brother and to play golf. This is one of my favorite courses to play in the Harrisburg area. I highly recommend it .

Course is affordable and well maintained. Greens and fairways were fantastic and the course personnel were very friendly and organized. Played with the first group and finished in under 3 1/2 hours. I would recommend this course to anyone passing through Hershey.
Deer Valley
Pretty average course, but it's very cheap. So probably a great option for anyone looking to golf on a budget. I'm a little surprised by the overall high rating that this course has, because it didn't really offer anything special. It's just a normal straight forward course. The pace of play was also very poor when I was there, with the round being over 5 hours. The rangers did nothing. Overall, if you're looking to save some $$$, this a decent option. Otherwise, I'd say pass on this one.

Perfect Day, Course in great shape.
Had a 10:12 tee time. The course was in great shape. We didn't push anybody all day nor where we pushed. Nothing to complain about. For me this is one of the best courses around for the price hands down. Definitely recommend.

Nice short course.
The course was in good condition. Fairways and greens were above average for this area. Tee boxes were beat up pretty good. Lack of rain made it difficult to keep ball in the rough and in play.
