West/North at Tanglewood - The Lion

I play several rounds of golf a week and I use to play here all the time, it was my go to golf course for the price, but years ago they priced themselves out for their course. I decided to give them a try since the price was right yesterday. I arrived and the starter was an absolute jerk to me. He was very rude and not welcoming at all. I am using the nice words for what he actually was. I decided due to my experience with the starter I would take my business elsewhere. I went in to make sure I was not going to be charged and explain to the staff inside what transpired outside. The employee shook their head in agreement when I was telling them about my experience with the starter. They apologized but the damage was already done. I left and went to another course and played there.

I will never return to Tanglewood again due to poor staff interaction. There are too many courses in the area to put up with rude employees especially a starter who should be the welcome party.

Tanglewood is a nice course but not the best, so there is no reason for them to act like they are a premier course in the area.

really enjoyed playing here. tee to green this course was great, with one exception.. the bunkers leave something that needs attention. when looking at them, they appear great. but after hitting out of a couple, you notice that the sand was very thin in spots. more attention,then this would be a great course.

Played with my grandson who beat me soundly but I didn’t mind at all

Came out 6/15 for my birthday with my son. We had a great time. Course was very nice much better than expected for what we paid. It has its difficulties with water all over. Greens we're in excellent condition. No complaints really at all. Would absolutely go back for more.

Beautiful gc..challenging layout....blind shot almost every tee shot...expect par 3...prize very acceptable....

Course was very challenging, but also very fair. It was an excellent shape for this time of year.

Tanglewood is a very nice course. Today, however, the greens would not hold as they were too dry and hard. That most of the holes were cut on slopes added to the difficulty. I have played here many times and never saw the greens so firm. Other than that, I like this course and will play here again.

Greens were fast! Overall course in very good condition and well maintained for being so early in the season. Can’t wait to play it again real soon.

Only draw back was the bunkers. Very rocky sand. It had rained the day before, so they were heart, packed firm and unplayable. Put the number of rocks in them raised concerns if you were to hit out of them.

On the positive side, the greens were in great shape, the rough was thick, but everything was very well maintained. For an April round in Michigan, all in all a great experience.

Understandably the course was in rough shape after a long winter. Tee boxes and greens need a lot of work. Practically no sand in the bunkers. Hopefully will improve as the weather warms up. Pace of play was good. Staff was excellent

There was too much sand on the greens on the North Course, so the ball wouldn't roll.
