Disappointed in conditions
Had a good experience prior. This trip conditions were very poor unfortunately. Not cheap and on all holes they had verti-cut all fairways and thatched. Abysmal.
Warning :Maintenance ongoing.
Unfortunately Golf now did not alert nor the course so a full price $200 round was paid for a course with sand greens. Do better GN. When I Spoke to the pro he blamed it on GN for not posting the scheduled maintenance.
Great course for the money
Paid a discounted fee through TeeOff. Great course. The only reason 4 star instead of 5 is because the sand in the traps on the back nine was very hard and visually impossible to slide the club through.
Nice course
First, Golf is expensive in Mexico, period. If you can get past the tee time cost + rentals, then you will be rewarded with some decent courses and great pace of play. The higher price pretty much guarantees no hackers or drunk bromance 5 some clogging up the pace, though no guarantees .
As for Campestre course, I would say the conditions were similar to Torrey Pines ( home course) w/o the punishing rough. Course is not very difficult. You get some different elevations and open fairways. They give you plenty of bottle water. Theres cart person and two stations for more stuff. Also a roaming cow.
Is it worth the $ 220 + 65 rental cost? For a one time play, yes. Will play again.
My go to course whe I'm in San Jose
I have played Club Campestre every time I've brought my clubs to Cabo. The course is in the best condition I've seen it in. I will be booking a few more rounds before I go home.
Overpriced
It’s a nice course but like all courses here in Cabo they are way overpriced no way is this course worth the money you pay
ITS CALLED GOUGING
ABSOLUTELY SKIP THIS HORRIFIC, RUDE, INSANELY OVER PRICED, TRASHED COURSE!
Do you want to play at a horrific course that is hot garbage, NUMEROUS workers all over the course weed eating, mowing and cutting trees, rental clubs from the 1800’s that were trashed and bent, trashed tee boxes that weren’t rotated, destroyed cart paths and construction everywhere? Then this is the course for you!
We wanted to play at a nice golf course while we were enjoying our time in Cabo, and we came to the conclusion this was the best one near our resort. We were willing to pay a decent amount to play at a nice place, instead of choosing a budget friendly course and being disappointed by the fairways and greens, etc.
We ended up paying an decent amount to still be disappointed by the greens, fairways, and numerous other things. First thing that was unacceptable were the sets of golf clubs we paid around $60 a piece to rent. They were in subpar condition and very outdated. The clubs were old, from what we could tell was the early 2000's, the grips were torn up and the putter skin on the grips was completely stripped off as seen in pics.
One thing that made it hard to concentrate and enjoy the course was workers working right near the pin when hitting our approach shots, seems like the courteous thing is to move until we hit our shots then continue working right? Nope, they just kept on working. Also, not the safest approach for the work to be conducted in the case of errant shots. This can be seen in the pictures I provided.
Then there was workers weed eating right next to the tee box while we were teeing off which was rather distracting. Then at another tee box there were workers cutting down and trimming trees while we were teeing off, again distracting and not par for golf etiquette. It’s necessary for course upkeep, but there has to be a better way for your maintenance teams to perform their duties while not distracting people that are paying to enjoy it. I've never been to another course with as many workers on the course as this one. Pictures provided for this too.
The tee boxes were pretty trashed because they obviously weren’t moved around. At least half of the greens had pretty bad patchy areas as seen in the pictures. Cart paths were pretty beat up and the carts barely made it up hills to where I thought I was going to have to get out and push. There was construction everywhere also, which was very distracting as well.
Very enjoyable tiime!
Greens were punched month plus ago per the two residents with whom I played. Some real bad burnt spots on the greens but beyond those spots rolled fast and pretty true. Course is very good shape. Had played before years ago and came back once out there. Very nice time—hot in afternoon but the two guys were great company while I played and my Wife rode along. Expensive but good time and will play there again for sure!
Very cool course, greens are in bad shape
First time playing the course, nice facilities, good practice area, but for the price, the greens are really in trouble. Many many brown spots on most of the greens… And the bunkers are also dirt. I was playing a twosome and there was literally nobody in front of us, and nobody behind us on a Saturday, but yet the Marshall came up and told us to pick up our pace… Which I just laughed. It wasn’t till the 18th fall that we actually saw another group. Hopefully, they will work on their greens, otherwise it’s a pretty fun track.
Great Layout, Excellent Condition!
Overall condition of the course was excellent. Great views!!
Cabo golf
Got lost getting there...lots of new construction, but finally found it. Starter Russ was great, course was in great shape, views from several holes were fantastic. Had a really fun time
Must play in Cabo
Great place and views. Course layout and greens were great! Hot deal is a steal for this course and Real Cabo!
