More Imfo
Went to old clubhouse/pro shop first dropped off clubs wouldve beenn nice to have much needed signs, luckily we saw a worker but( that was inconvenient ) Only sexond time there so some well-positional direction signs to next tee boxes wouldve help newcomers but do love the layout
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
For being early April this course was prestige, bright green grass, fresh sand and rough was perfect… very happy with boulder creek, top notch
Spring golf
Love this course have golfed it many times….my take on it sometimes you get the bear and………..
Slow pace
The best course layout. The only complaint I has was slow pace. In 4 1/2 hours, we only played until 16. We had to skip the last two holes. I wish they send ranger out to check from time to time. I know it is late fall but still. Also, people should know their limit. If you hit 200 yards the driver and it goes left and right., you have no business playing blue or black
Unprofessional owner
Our golf course purchased a used bar refrigerator from the owner Joe Salemi. He advertised the unit in great working condition and promised to keep the unit plugged in so we could verify its condition. After driving 2+ hours to pick it up the unit was neither plugged in or cold. We paid for it and loaded it up in good faith. Upon plugging the unit in it produced no cold temperatures. We contacted the owner immediately of the condition. After having a certified technician look at the unit he recommended we return it to which Joe agreed in writing with a full refund. Upon returning the unit he has failed to pay the refund he agreed to in writing. Totally unprofessional. A beautiful golf course with a less than reputable owner! Too bad…
Best course around
It was just aerated but was still in great shape. Dont play here enough honestly. Restaurant has great food too.
Where Am I Going Again?
I've driven past this course a million times on the Ohio Turnpike and finally had to drive out and play it.
The course is in great shape, especially considering how dry the area has been this summer. The greens ran true, the fairways rolled well, and the rough was penal for a public course.
The real problem, and it is a considerable problem, is pace of play. The course layout leads to some of this because it is not linear at all. But 5:40 to play a weekday round is just pure madness. I'd love to come back, but I can't play well that slow.
VERY slow pace of play
Course is in good condition; good course layout. However, only play here if you have a lot of time. They have no course regulation or enforcement for speed of play. It can take 6+ hours to finish a round.
Solid but meh
Pace of play was terrible. Like, atrocious. Took my group 5hr & 45min to play 18. Called the shop to try to get them to get the group of 4 hackers in front of mine (one was walking outside of his cart) to move a little faster & they said “because the course is so long pace of play is expected to be 5hrs.” Here’s an idea: require higher handicaps to play further up tee boxes. Everything else was good to great though!
Been wanting to play here for a while. This course comes as advertised! Great layout. Pace of play is slow, but they tell you that ahead of time. It’s not a shock. The course slope rating should be higher. If you make a mistake off the tee, the course makes you pay for it. I look forward to playing here again.
Pace of play
Don’t come here unless you want to play a 6 hour round. Course is maintained pretty good and the layout is nice but there are no rangers enforcing pace of play and the tee times are booked too close together.
It's not the same anymore.
Having completed this round at my home course, I have made the decision to seek alternative golfing venues. I implore all golfers to demonstrate respect for the course and to familiarize themselves with established golfing etiquette. While the course typically experiences wear and tear during the summer months, the current condition has deteriorated significantly due to golfer behavior. Tee boxes are suffering from inadequate divot repair, with players failing to fill divots with sand, even when the displaced turf is readily accessible. Approach shots are similarly compromised by the prevalence of unfilled divots. The greens present the most significant concern, appearing to have been subjected to extensive chipping practice. While the groundskeepers bear responsibility for course maintenance, the initial responsibility lies with each individual golfer. Proper course care, including the repair of divots, contributes significantly to the overall condition. I am hopeful that the course will exhibit improvement upon my next visit.
