Gleneagles Golf Club
About
Gleneagles Golf Club, which is owned by the city of Twinsburg, is ranked as one of the area's top 15 most challenging courses, though, it is more player friendly than it seems. Beginners won't feel too out of place but accuracy is needed on this course with water coming into play on 11 holes and more than 20 strategically placed bunkers. The water hazards are particularly tricky. The fairways are lush and manicured and the well maintained greens putt fast and true. There are also some significant elevation changes throughout the golf course. A smattering of trees dots the landscape but most of the holes are wide open. It is a good challenge without being too intimidating. In addition to the course, Gleneagles Golf Club offers a driving range and putting green for golfers to warm up before their tee time.

I have been wanting to play this course for years. The reviews were great. But, I do not know what has happened to the fairways? Large sections with no grass and looks almost like mold growing in its place? Did not bother asking about the turf management. Will not return any time soon, without a telephone call first! Nice layout. Tee boxes just OK. Greens are in the best condition on the course. Needs some work! Driving range was also closed.
Gleneagles
Good layout, summer has not been kind to several fairways have lost some, not all grass. Otherwise, a very enjoyable round!
Great Public Venue
The course is in great shape. Pace was moderate, took us about 4:15 to play with a tee time of 11:15am. Greens were deceiving as breaks did not produce movement on putts.
Good times, great staff..
Course is in great shape, but players need to fix divots in the fairways & ball marks on the greens.
Good times.
Course is in great shape, though golfers need to fix divots and pitch marks on the greens. Stress this when they are checking in.
Simply a vibe
Nice well kept course! Nice modern aesthetically pleasing club house, good date night vibes if you want to scratch your itch & include the lady 😅
Not as advertised
Our first time playing and our last. They need to put money into the course and not the clubhouse! Course needs a lot of work not well maintained. We were recommended this course from a couple we played with at Boulder Creek. We were very disappointed.
Well maintained
Staff and clubhouse as well as maintenance are great here
Fairways NOT mowed and uneven grass
This is supposed to be a high end course. I like the layout and the greens were OK. However, the fairways are NOT acceptable. They were uneven height possibly because of different types of grass. So ball can be sitting on short grass against taller grass - see picture.
Also pace of play was horrible. People were hitting 4-6 shots to reach the green.
Fun course but real soggy right now
The course will be great once it dries up a bit. This review is mostly about our experience with the restaurant Aaron and Moses.
We golfed early on Master’s Sunday and made reservations at the restaurant there for after our round to watch the Masters Golf tournament. It would make sense that every tv would be showing the Masters but that is not what happened.
They changed the main tv we were watching to a basketball game that had no bearing on the playoffs. They had a group of guys that were very loud so we moved closer to the bar and then the “bartender” tried turning one of the smaller tvs we were now watching to a music station???
We were told a group was coming in for the table we moved to and we would have to eat quickly and that was the last straw for us…we ate the swill they made us which wasn’t good and went to The Winking Lizard to watch the final 8 holes and man what a great golf crowd they had there rooting for individual players. It’s what we expected from the restaurant ON a golf course ON Masters Sunday!
While I really enjoyed the pleasant staff, starters and golf course and will certainly golf there again…I will never step foot in that restaurant again and highly recommend you skipping it as well. .
