Coyote Ridge Golf Club

For the record we paid $75 with fees and taxes. Which was not too out rages but the rate online through the course was $95. Totally not worth it at $95. Should be priced at $45-50 for the conditions and layout. The 10 hole is really a junky layout. You stand on the tee box and look at the city dump less than a mile away. Par 5 and your first shot needs to be 170 or it carrys into a creek. If you can hit driver 270+ and hit it over a tree, you’ll be fine. Not very scenic at all but then again it is Dallas/Ft. Worth. Range was adequate but you were hitting off mats. Not ideal for the price point. Greens were in nice shape but they are letting the course go down hill and not putting any money towards improvements.

Overall, if I could play this course again for $40-50 I would do it. Anything much more than that and it’s priced too high.

This course, staff, and amenities are phenomenal. I don’t think I can recommend it enough for all levels of golfers. 10 out of 10 experience. I will come back every chance I have. Very memorable!

Easy to book, fairways were great, greens recently punched and sanded, but rolled good. Cart girl came around often.

This was my first time playing here. It was pretty good course. We were sped up a couple times there was quite a few tee times after us.. it was pretty normal though. We definitely would like to return.

First time playing Coyote Ridge. Got some pointers from the starter and paired up with a member. Pace of play was really good, 3+45 for the round. Challenging course from the whites. Most tee boxes and green were in great shape even with the hot weather. Lots of water containers filled with cold water and the drink cart came by at least 4 times for the 18.

Disco

The course condition is fine, and the greens roll true, but the course ranger was rude and targeting my group for no reason. He told us to speed up play while we were waiting on the group in front, and then kept coming back, riding our tail for no reason. We paid a lot of money to play their mid course and don’t appreciate the rude treatment. Won’t be going back.

Greens were fast but true.

Fairways was in good shape, but a few spots were water logged or muddy from morning watering.

The rough was rough.

Overall loved the layout, it’s definitely not a long course. I liked the difference between the front and back nine. My group and I commented that the front 9 was the warm up to get ready for the back. Which was tighter and had more penalizing areas!

Pace of play was good finished in about 4:30. Beverage cart slowed us down as we need to refill a few times.

Depending on the deal you get, for $75-100 this course is infinitely better than other options in Frisco/Plano priced in the same band. Staff is friendly, clubhouse is clean and food is great. Played 3 times in last 5-6 weeks and everything is in good/great shape. Even played day after aeration and had a good time. Course drains well and even day after torrential downpour only a few holes are cart path only. Highly recommend.

Have played this course over the past 20 years and this is the worst I have seen it. Greens were in bad shape with weeds growing in it everywhere. Greens were very hard and was hard to keep any shots on them as it would bounce a few times then run off. Even with a ton of spin on the ball. Tee boxes and fairways weren't horrible. Greens speeds were not consistent so made it very difficult to put. Greens were very furry as well. First cart we had quit working and then the second one stopped working at times. I am wondering if owner shipped changed recently. With all the rain we have had in DFW over the last few months you would think the courses would be in amazing shape. Did not see the cart girl one time during our round either. Definitely not worth the price tag. Should be more like $30 each with its condition.

Course was full of inconsiderate people with zero golf etiquette. Not sure why the course let a single player go out also at 9:30 in the morning. 4some in front of me would not let me play through even though they had not teed off when I pulled up to the tee boxes. 3 hours to play 10 holes is absurd.

Fairways were good, Greens and tee boxes need help. Some sand traps had too many pebbles vs sand.

It is wildly inappropriate to announce to arriving, pre-paid tee times that, OH the range is closed an OH the beverage cart isn't running (on a Friday afternoon in May)...and OH it's cart path only when 90 would have been absolutely fine.

No clip to the rate, which is already atop other local options. This tee time should have been reduced at arrival and some refund provided, or a future round comped/discounted.

I guess I'll be back, but not without checking really hard about amenities. Taking client here yesterday was a flat experience with most amenities off limits. Meh.
