Terrible Condition
Such bad shape, it was dangerous to even drive the golf cart through the fairways. Woof.
Might be the worst course in Dallas right now
Course is in terrible shape. I don't mind it being roughh but the fairways are awful. Cracks and craters all over the place. I know it was a hot dry summer, but this is neglect. I will not be playing here for a long time. It was not enjoyable at all, no matter how cheap it is.
Course needs help
Overall the golf was fine, the staff are superb and friendly. The greens are in ok shape but need some tlc. The issues are the fairways, your ball can literally disappear in some of the cracks. I get that the last few months have been hot but this looks like no water has hit the, in years.

Pricing does not equal conditions
Although TX has been extremely dry-the fees charges and conditions of the fairways make this course a no go for the foreseeable future. Have played here multiple time. Feel like I was taken advantage of from a pricing perspective since you literally could get you 2 shot gobbled up by 3-7 inch cracks in the fairways. Very disappointed.

No Fair way
Technically and obviously, golf club didn't care about the course. All 18-hole course fairway is like cracks. Some of them are large enough that the ball could get in. I never going back to this course.

Poor ground maintenance / course conditions
Grounds crew is making no effort to control weeks going to seed and greens are also deteriorating with lack of care. No effort to pick up trash and crews throws trash from their cart on the back 9. Roughs not mowed or have become dirt w/o grass. Always excuses, but course condition is getting much worse. No water in hot weather. Very sad for a high potential course.

Poor Course Maintenance
Fairways in bad shape. Desiccation Cracking is extensive. You could lose a golf ball and if you are not careful you could twist an ankle. Some tee boxes are so hard you need a hammer to get your tee in the ground.
The greens have been kept up fairly well, but bunkers are a mixed bag, with markedly different types of sands.

Poor Course Maintenance
The pace of play was good, but that is because the course is not even half full. At 10am making the turn, I should have seen a full parking lot, yet it was less than half full. The fairway conditions are horrific. It is obvious they did not water the course fairways properly, which led to desiccation cracks, which led to broken sprinkler system pipes, which led to larger and deeper cracks in the ground. The course fairways are ruined. Once the rains do come and the crack close up the course will become a bumpy nightmare. The only solution to make it playable again and bring back customers will be to renovate the course. I will say the greens were in fairly good shape, putts stayed true.

Bad shape.
Course is in REALITY BAD shape. Hugh cracks on the fairways. Hit a ball right down the middle and can’t find it because ball is in foot deep cracks. Cart paths are also in really bad shape you have to be careful otherwise golf cart will get stuck on holes on cart paths.

worst condition course int eh nation
They hae not taken care of this course fairway completely dryed out and look like crates in the dessert. looks like no water all summer and many water leaks so wet here and no where else they should shut down the course.

Worst Ever
I have played this course many times over the past 10+years and I have never seen it in this poor a condition. There are severe cracks in the fairways throughout the entire golf course. I found a golf ball that someone had lost, it was in a crack, "in the middle of the friggin fairway!!!" I realize that we have been experiencing some pretty hot weather over the past few months, but this is ridiculous. They could do better.

AWFUL
Never played a course in worse condition. Tee time was $60, absolute disgrace!

Overpriced & Dangerous
I played as a single, 7:30 am tee time on a Sunday. I don’t like riding in carts with people I don’t know, so I understand that doing this requires a fee at many courses as a way to ensure they don’t run out of carts. That being said, when adding the $60 green fee + $25 dollar fee to ride alone + taxes, that becomes a $100 round of golf. I don’t mind paying this amount if the course is well kept, but this course was in awful shape, with bumpy, cracked fairways, uneven tee boxes, and cart paths that were in dire need of maintenance. To top it all off, even though we’re in the midst of Dallas’s hottest month ever, Riverchase has decided against having water jugs on the course, meaning your only chances to get water come before the round and at the turn. This would be defensible if multiple beverage carts were circulating the course, but I didn’t see the cart until I was about to tee off on hole 16. Lastly, the course restaurant doesn’t open until 10, so it was still closed when I made the turn. Due to the aforementioned heat, I had worked up quite an appetite by the end of the front 9, so this was quite disappointing.
Overall, this is a $25 course masquerading as a $60 course. If I’d payed $25-$30, I could’ve overlooked the issues, but given that I payed $100, I felt ripped off.

Texas summer
Play golf in the Texas heat is never fun but it’s even worse when they have zero water throughout the course for you to drink from.
