Stonebridge at Newport

Newport has invested $$ and time improving the course. I’ve not seen the Newport green conditions this good in decades. Fairways have been watered and are in better shape than expect given drought conditions. Attention has been given to sand traps and they are improved as well. Snack bar is closed on Monday and Tuesday but refreshments can be purchase from the Pro Shop. I applied my Golf Pass rewards to Hot Deal on Golf Now paying only $18.00.

Would have payed more as the course is improved!

I’d recommend the course particularly if you live in the East side of Houston.

This was my first visit to Stonebridge in over a year, and I was very pleased with the course conditions. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape. A few tee boxes needed attention as well as portions of the cart path, but overall, an excellent track.

Greens were in good condition. Sand traps were maintained. Fairways and ruff were in reasonable good condition considering severe drought.

I play Newport once a year. The course is in fantastic shape. The tee boxes are level, fairway and greens in stellar shape. Cart paths smooth. Carts are like new. Pro shop gals rock. If in NE Houston don't overlook this course!
