Golf Club of Houston - Tournament Course

Course is really good looking. The greens are excellent. The layout is a kick in the teeth.

We quit after nine because they put a shotgun start tournament out on the course when we were around hole 6. Pace of play slowed to slower than a crawl. We asked for a refund and they gave us a rain check for nine holes. Said we should have called out to see if a tournament would be there. For $190 we shouldn't have to do that.

All tee boxes are under repair therefore prepared temp tee box. Fairway and Green condition also no good

First time playing here. Place is huge due to the 2 courses on the property. Practice range is legit. Had a 7:30 tee time and had no issues with pace of play. Course was pure from fairways to green. 2 different cart girls driving around all round. Staff was great!

Greens were fantastic. Fast and smooth. Several fairways need some work.. layout PGALEVEL.. SPEED OF ROUND slower than normal. 5 hours. But Fridays and fantastic weather normally expect a bit of a wait

A real joy of a golf experience. Layout is high-class, with not a single weak hole. Lots of bunkers and water makes it a real challenge. Greens are solid and exceedingly fair (though Memorial Park is better). Course was in very good shape for late February. Thought it was a great value at a $100 hot deal, a bit pricey at $140. Pace of play was good. Clearly the best course in Houston I’ve played.

Playtime was horrible...where was the Marshall??? Wanted to charge extra for a single ride cart...that you dont have enough carts is a course problem.

Staff was mostly pleasant.

I'd certainly play it again but it was extremely slow on front. Fortunately on back, part of group in front of us had to leave so it made up time on back.

Never saw a ranger on front which is where it was needed..As a former golf ranger, you gotta catch those slow guys early in round and actually talk to them..

Challenging for a 13 handicapper playing from the Blues. But, enjoyed the loop. Could use some Marshalls to keep the pace under 4 hours. 4:30 is just not necessary with a little encouragement to repeatedly slow play.

The course was amazing and has spoiled me for future play at other courses. The only 2 downfalls were we got held up by a tournament that ran over and I was disappointed in the sand bunker conditions being too hard packed

5 hour 15 minute round, no marshalls. The club pros simply do not care how slow the pace of play is.

For a dry time of the year, the course was still in very good condition. Staff all around was very helpful and friendly.

When we arrived we were amazed, the grass was so green and perfect. The day was perfect the course kick our butts, we where happy to just get par. The employees were nice and always smiling and helpful. The only bad thing was our cart died and we had to wait for a replacement.

Excellent greens conditions, a bit behind the fairways for the money. Overall good conditions and found a great Hot deal!

Great value for GN Hot Deal, otherwise a little more than I usually spend.

Everything is top-notch. Nice range/putting/chipping greens. Carts stocked with ice water in cooler. Tee boxes soft! Lush fairways, nice greens, even in this heat!

Staff was friendly inside and on course. Beverage cart circled regularly where you get minimum two chances to stock up. Pavilion at 9/10 for drinks and food.

We though that the fee for Sunday was great but Golfnow did not announced that they sanded all greens ...Wish you do that in the future
