Tallwood Country Club

They don't have a ranger and people get five, six holes behind and nobody to push them and make them move along. Very frustrating.

Of course is always fun. It was so nice. Not to have to wait for anyone. Pace of play was better than it seems most public courses have become.

Like so many other courses nowadays, the sand traps could use more sand

Course condition is very good. Sand traps still need some work. And you have to watch out for the wasps, that are burrowed around all the sand traps. The cart paths also could use some work.A lot of the gravel is washed out and just needs to be regraded.

course was great, foursome in front of us wouldn't let us play through, at least 2 holes behind, no ranger to speed up play

We were a 2-some and got stuck behind a 5-some and they never offered us to play through. Not a ranger out all round.

This is my sixth time playing this year at tallwoods.Golf course. During the week, the pace of play is much better, but on the weekends, it is very slow. The round took almost five and a half hours. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Greens are a little bit slow.

Sand traps continue to be a problem with very little sand.

Had a very nice round of 9 holes with a friend of mine.

The course was in excellent condition, pro shop staff and ranger were very pleasant and helpful. Look forward to coming back .

Pace of play was good this time finished in 3 1/2 hours. Sand traps can use more sand. Very thin layer of sand then hard pan and rocks. Other then that course is in great shape.

There are so many goat tracks in Eastern CT. This one is a gem. Not overplayed. Greens are in great shape, fairways are beautiful. Zero complaints. This is right there with Wintonbury Hills. Always fun course to play

Tallwood CC continues to make improvements and upgrade the condition of the course. The greens are in great shape - speed is moderate and the green surfaces are smooth and consistent. The fairways also are in very good shape - particularly given the dry weather in CT this summer. If you haven't been to Tallwood recently, it is definitely worth a visit.

Staff in the pro shop and in the cafe were very welcoming. A simple lunch menu but good food and quick service.

Overall a great value for golf and lunch.

This course is extremely playable and gives a old school vibe, the course is well maintained and is fitted with various amenities, I will be coming back very soon.

Tallwood stays in excellent condition even at this point in the summer. Conditions are great. From tees to greens. Go play Tallwood now!!

Quite a fun and challenging course with hole 2, 3 and 7 being a good challenge for an average golfer like myself.
