The first hole, a par-3 that plays 192 from the white tees, is usually a good wake-up call if you’re not yet focused on the game. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/14/2023

This view of the 60-yard-wide fairway at the third reminds me of certain holes on Golden Age courses. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/14/2023

For many golfers the third hole will be a drive and a pitch. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/14/2023

The game truly is on with the island green at four: this little isle, when missed, can destroy a scorecard. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/14/2023

A par-4 playing downhill into the green, the sixth is strategic but also aesthetic. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/14/2023

Bomber #1: Matt Fresk, displaying an athletic motion of which David Leadbetter would approve, slashes a 5-iron to the first green, 205 yards distant. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/09/2020

Bomber #2: Matt Dominioni also uses a five to hit green one. Calls to mind the expression, "These guys are good!" Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/09/2020

Horrible experience and highly disappointed.
I played here with my brother this past weekend, and it was easily the worst golf course I’ve ever booked on GolfNow. The grass was high everywhere, tee boxes were completely unmarked, and what should have been greens were dried out, cracked, and shaved.
You practically need a 4x4-style cart just to get around. This is not your typical golf course with fairways and lush greens — it’s basically a rough field with flags stuck in the ground. Even at this price it’s not worth your time unless you’re simply looking for open space to practice instead of a driving range. You are being catfished with the photos. Not even close to the actual course.
This is not a golf course. Maybe considered a bad practice field

do not play here
this course has poor conditions, no whole numbers at the tee box, so it is unclear when you go from one whole to another if you are going the correct way. Some of the greens were in decent shape, some were hardly greens at all. Course staff is surveilling you at all times to make sure you are not driving in the fairway, which is preposterous because the fairways no really in shape worth keeping carts off.
Don't play here for more than 20 bucks, worth coming only if your goal is to be harassed by old people surveilling you or if you just want to play and absolutely unserious round on a course.
Don’t waste your money
Worst course I have ever played. There was no grass on the tee boxes. In fact, 2 or 3 of the tee boxes had driving range mats in the tee boxes to hit off of. For some unknown reason, it was cart path only. I played at around 11am and they were still mowing. Crab grass was everywhere and I don’t believe that the sand traps have been groomed yet this year. Very disappointed that the owners could let it get to be the way it is.
Great course
Love this course. It has a really nice layout and offers enough challenges to keep you coming back over and over.
Horrible Course
I have never played in a course in this much disrepair. We had to start on 3 and end on 2. The Many tee boxes were almost dirt . It was a course in total disrepair
Fun course with island green
We always enjoy Chanticlair. They are making some changes and improvements to the course. Can’t wait to see how the new layout on 6 and 9 turns out.
It was alright
Extremely slow pace of play being stuck behind seniors, 3 groups deep on the 7th teebox. Teeboxes are trash but greens and fairways were in good condition besides a few spots here and there. I would recommend putting money into the conditions as opposed to a new fairway on old home 6.
