Bishop Country Club

What makes Bishop Country Club so special is that not only is the back nine one of the most enjoyable back nines I’ve ever played but the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff make this experience unforgettable. Couple those things with the price and you’ve got a “can’t miss” experience.

This course, while basically a flat lay-out, challenges you with water that can come into play on at least 14 holes. It is not terribly long for a long driver, but it offers challenges of 4 medium length par 5s, and 5 different par3s, for a total of 71. The course record stands at 61. It challenges your ability to stay focused with snow-topped peaks on both sides (E/W) of the course.

Played course last year same time. Needed a handicap flag, pro questioned my handicap. Had to go back out to car to get paperwork. Even then he was condescending. He also failed to tell us they had just abated for mosquitos across street and we got eaten alive. This year came prepared for mosquitos with deet. Did not help. Bit right through shirts. Swarmed face when teeing up. Same pro, same attitude. Asked to get range balls and was told range was closed it wasn't. Overall condition of course was fair. I'll stick to fishing when up here again, and play my own country club where they know how to treat members. Never play here again. 10 handicap.

What a beautiful place with mountain views.I have been coming here year after year for 10+ years and it has always been a favorite part of my vacation to play here.So a few of the lakes have "dried-up" so what...it makes for a little bit easier course-love it here!!!

Five tees to meet all abilities.

Always a great round of golf. I drive 2 hours to get threre but it is worth it.

The drive is also very beautiful.

It's always a great roubd at this scenic course. Not too challenging but some difficulty can be found. Course is always in grwat condition. Excellent staff. Great food at the clubhouse restaurant.

We were welcomed by a very friendly guy at the pro shop who helped us get going. We enjoyed hitting some balls on the range and get a feel for the greens on the practice green and then right to the 1st tee. No waiting!

The views of the snow on the Sierras was outstanding! The course was in great shape and the greens were in great shape. I see a lot of pride in this course.

The course plays long and has challenges on most holes. We played straight thru and met some very friendly locals on the way who helped navigate a couple holes.

We had a great lunch and a drink on the patio 19th hole and met some nice new friends while enjoying the views.

This is a great Golf Course and the Staff and Community are Down Home Good
