Hooper's Landing Golf Course

About
Hooper's Landing Golf Course (formerly known as "Seaford Golf & Country Club") sprawls across more than 200 acres of gently rolling terrain. Constructed in 1949, the course has a classic design that is accessible for players of all skill levels. There are some tight holes that will make you think twice before pulling out the driver but they are nicely balanced by some wide-open holes where you can grip it and rip it. Though the golf course is relatively short at 6,725 yards from the back tees, the small, well bunkered greens offer plenty of challenges. The approaches to the greens demand accuracy, which will be further tested by water hazards and trees. Hooper's Landing Golf Course begins with a tricky dogleg right, a par 4 with a green that is not only heavily guarded by bunkers but it also sits above the fairway.

Sh i tty golf course.
Probably one of, if not the worst golf courses I’ve played in years. It’s almost on par with Ocean Resorts. The anniversary deal of 30 dollars was what this course should be on the weekend. The fact that they charge upwards of 77 dollars to play this goat pasture is criminal. Starting with the first hole, which may be one of the dumbest holes I’ve ever played. Even with a really good drive, you have to hit an approach over trees. Stupid. It is also painfully obvious that they have a bunch of trash working their course. People with ZERO clue how to cut a cup, and where to place a flag. Most of the holes were cut on the side of inclines on the greens. Didn’t mess me up, but the two guys I played with struggled.
What a joke this place is.
The fairways were basically like the first cut of rough at most courses, and the greens were just giant wastes of grass.
It’s Bermuda, it’s made for the heat, cut the darn fairways.
Plus, at almost every course in the world, when you make the turn you’re back at the clubhouse. Hence the out and in on the scorecard. Not at this gem. Oh no, you don’t get back by the clubhouse until after hole 14.
Frankly, this course is a waste of your time and money.
Need fairways to green up and work on some of the greens
For spring golf it played ok. Fairways are Bermuda so completely brown, greens were bumpy and. Fee needed a bunch of work.
Great day for golf
Our group had a lot of fun playing Hooper's Landing. The course was in good shape and the pace of play was very good. The people running the place were very friendly. Couldn't ask for a better day of golf!
Not very crowded which was great. Two distinctive styles of holes. First section has tree lined fairways the second section has more water and marshy type hazards. Greens are relatively flat. Overall the course is challenging but enjoyable.
Not crowded
Good value, interesting layout. Not crowded so too can play at a good pace. Some greens need work.
Greens relatively flat. Hazards exist but different a lot on two distinct sections of course
What a fun day! Starting with the woman who was super friendly Doing double duty is front desk and snack bar runner..
the Starter was very informative and friendly. He even had an assistant who was also very helpful.
As far as the course, what a layout. Only a couple holes that looked similar. Some long par 4s (450 and 440) make this a true test from the tips. A rare par three to finish which played 224 yards. Greens and fairways are in great shape
Will definitely be back! Do yourself a favor and stop by for 18 you will not be disappointed
The course was in good shape.
We like playing here because it can play easy and at the same time difficult. This course is being kept in good shape even though the hot and dry weather. The staff here are great. They’re ready to help you in any way they can.
It’s fun playing golf at Hoopers.
Our last round of golf here was fun. The course is in much better shape this year. The greens were in great shape. The pace of play was good but that was because of the time of day we played. The staff couldn’t be more friendly. We will definitely play here more often now.
Pleasant round on excellent greens
I try to play Hoopers Landing once every couple of years. It’s an interesting combination of traditional tree lined fairways with a few more links style holes sprinkled in. They should try to enforce more of a dress code to get rid of the t-shirt crowd but they don’t seem to mind. The pro-shop and cart personnel were friendly and helpful. The greens are in good condition and very true. The fairways are okay as well as the tee boxes. All in all a decent and enjoyable round for the money.
Spring golf is great at Hooper's Landing
90 degree rule and rough conditions to be expected. They did a fine job of directing me through signs and friendly instructions. Lots of new homes going up also to be expected. The layout is superb. Senior tees for me.
Hidden Gem
Excellent condition, not an easy layout but playable. Very enjoyable. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Tuff play
I've played this course many many times. And I can't believe I came back for more abuse. The trees that line the fairways are 100 years old. They need to be trimmed back to allow some movement in ball flight. It can be trouble from the first shot on. Fairways are Brown and rough makes it hard to find your ball.
