Hawaii Kai Golf Course

This is a nice course, not too hard as I had my girlfriend with me and she is a beginner golfer.

The course is not difficult and this would have got a better rating except for the one person the starter was rude. He acted like he was bothered the 2 times I asked him a question (where the driving range is and where is the 1st tee). All the other staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant and Pro shop team members were awesome.

The staff is phenomenal. The sand is hard as concrete. Fairways are ok the transition to the rough is non-existent. The greens need work cause they not that green and the ball hops. But, the price with all that said is excellent. Honestly the staff made it worth it. Playing a round in Hawaii amazing. Definitely worth the time.

I have played better courses in the Mojave Desert. This place was dry as bone and greens were horrible. The fairways were dirt and mixed bag of grass. There are a number of courses on Oahu that are way better for the same price. When I saw the course, I tried to cancel but I could get a hold of GolfNow because bad Mobile Signal. The picture that they post on the website are very deceiving. A waste of a day playing this sad golf course. I do not get where come up with the idea they are a Championship golf course. It is the worst golf course I have ever played, and I have probably played +100 courses. The only good thing was the group I was paired with were really cool. Otherwise, I would have left after a few holes.

The greens are in need of water, with a lot of lumps. Fairways are good, but the rough could be maintained better.

This course was fun to play. The layout is great. The greens and bunkers are average, but all in all…..a great experience. The Staff were friendly and accommodating. I can’t wait to play this course again, but next time with my son and grandson.

Fairways err not mowed well. Bunkers were not sand but dirt and hard as a rock. Grass growing out of the bunkers. Greens were rough. Bermuda grass clumps in the middle of the greens. Carts are old and not well maintained. The guy I checked in with was ok. The rest of the staff were not very friendly.

Booked this at the last minute as it wasn’t looking like a beach day. After playing KoOlina and Kapolei, this was in very bad condition, especially for $160/ person. Greens are bumpy, lots of weeds, fairways inconsistent, place just not maintained. A few holes offer views of the ocean and some great views of the mountains.

Course maintenance below standard. Traps were poorly maintained. Grass needed mowing in many places.

The course and facilities are pretty beat up. The greens are not in good shape. Bunkers need more sand and maintenance. I'm sure locals pay a lower rate but visitors are certainly overcharged.

Overall was a pretty fun course to play and the conditions where overall great, greens could use a little work but other then that it had some very nice views. I would say the course is worth about $80-100 but would recommend to play here. Call the pro shop to check conditions I came after it rained 2 days ago and the course was really nice to play.
