About
Odyssey Country Club is a challenging layout that was designed by Harry Bower and two-time U.S. Open winner Curtis Strange. Strange won in 1988 and 1989, putting him in the company of only six others in the century-long history of the U.S. Open. His influence is apparent in all the strategic elements of the golf course as well as the risk-reward options. This demanding layout is not exactly beginner friendly. Staying on the fairways is crucial or your ball will be met with deep rough. Water is also a prominent presence on the golf course. Twelve holes either feature a water hazards or play along the water's edge. Odyssey Country Club's 16th hole is memorable for its tricky island green, which naturally draws comparisons to the famous 17th at TPC Sawgrass.

REALLY BAD CONDITION
The course is in bad shape. Tee boxes squeezed very small and tore up. Sand-traps are horrible. No sand, Full of weeds. Fairway on some holes tore up with tire tracks. Rough uncut. Been playing here since it opened but won't be going back anytime soon until they groom it as a golf course again. Very neglected!!!
Sad
This course used to be a very nice public course. Not sure what has happened but it is no longer being maintained as well as it once was. Tee boxes aren’t mowed, bunkers are disasters, and lots of drainage problems. Carts were also very old and felt like they would fall apart at any minute. Greens are a bit shaggy but decent and fairways are in decent shape so it isn’t a total disaster but hopefully someone turns around the deteriorating conditions before it is too late
Good Course
We played here on Memorial Day and I booked it again for the following week because I was so impressed for the respect they have for the veterans of our country! Every pin had the American flag as well as a stand to the side of every green to place the pin when putting in order not to disrespect the flag when removed!!! Thoughtful, appropriate, and full respect to this course. The following week played slow @ close to five hours, but would go back again due to the quality and staff & the respect mentioned! A good layout!

Slowest pace of play I’ve ever seen
They book foursomes every 6 minutes or so. I left 3 holes early and was there 4+ hours. Insane
Nice course
This was my first time playing this course. The staff was very friendly, the greens were in good shape. We just had a heavy rain so there was some standing water in spots but not much they can do about that.
Pace of play can be a big issue at Odyssey... but on this day it wasn't.
Tee boxes were scruffy and rough was a bit longer than usual. Greens rolled well, and I splashed out just fine from the 1 bunker I found myself in. Fairways were spotty in areas.
This course is very walkable and, as of this review, there are potable water fountains out on the course. I play from the White tees so the course is a lot of medium to short holes... a lot of fun. But if you like long and longer holes, the Yellow tees will accomodate you.
Don’t play here unless you enjoy 5 hour rounds of golf
This course attracts lousy and slow playing golfers. Making matters worse, the ranger (single) is/was ineffective/worthless. After asking him to say something to the group in front that had created 1.5 open holes in front of them (after only 5 holes), he responded saying he timed them and they were ‘normal’. We questioned why he would time them on a par 3, we heard the stupidest statement ever from a ranger: “par 3’s always take longer to play”. That line aptly describes the caliber of rangers out here. We cut around these jokers at the turn only to find more hacks on the back. This course is really not that difficult to explain this nonsense. Widening-out the tee-times and more effective ranger monitoring would help, but it appears the tee sheet was full so I don’t expect the owners/mgmt to change anything here. have fun.

Great Course - Questionable Tee Time Management
Pre-paid for foursome tee time at 11:30. Tee Time showed a Pre-paid twosome ahead of us at 11:20. Arrived at starter shack at 11:23. There was foursome on the green, a foursome in the fairway and 16 golfers ahead of us waiting to tee off. Believe this was an Asian-american outing, because they were all Asian golfers and after a 5 1/2 hour round there was a large banquet beginning consisting of Asian guest. It was a nice sunny November day, just didn't expect to spend most of it on the golf course. Lesson learned: If deal looks too good to be true, probably isn't. Call course directly.
