Bad conditions
Terrible tee boxes, fairways, sand traps, and greens. All bad. Not even worth the $30
Not in great shape
Run down would be the best way to describe it with older carts, bad tee boxes and some greens were in brutal shape. The clubhouse is a dump and the bathrooms were just as bad. No bar or restraint but had a vendor at the turn.
Rish history course
120+ years old course with pretty good layout, need to work on all bankers to make it more fun.
This ain't it
The tee boxes are very rough, crab grass, most every hole. On 95 degree days, they offered no cart staff, nor anywhere to fill up your water bottle. They have a driving range which they shut down for municipal players, reserving it for an afternoon youth tournament.
I mean come on, $80 is a premium price to pay for a course full of compromise. The club house is all but abandoned.
Do not play here!
Course is in terrible condition.
Layout is incorrect with all apps to track data and scores.
Sand has grass growing out of it.
Club house is abandoned. Busted pipes in bathroom.
Club manager is not a great person.
A pretty bad golf experience
Calumet used to be the ultimate golf course, but those days are over. They tried to sell it to a truck company, but the village blocked it. So now you have a course that has little to no upkeep, a run-down clubhouse and just a bad golf experience.
We wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, but after golfing there this weekend, I won't be back. The course is run down with super slow greens, bad fairways and no sand. It's better to look elsewhere. There are too many great courses in the area to ever justify going here.
I wish I could give it 0 stars
This may be the worst course in the Chicago land area. 75 dollars for a 7:30 tee time at this "country club" should be illegal - the bunkers are a mix of a little sand and a ton of knee high overgrown grass & weeds. The tee boxes are also overgrown with weeds, the bathrooms are disgusting and the sprinklers were on at 8 am. On top of everything, it's right off the expressway so you need to yell to hear the person next to you on the green. I implore you do not play this course
Awful and embarrassing
Staff rude and course was in terrible condition! Told me to leave there course because I was upset bathroom was closed. Would not recommend to anyone! Someone please buy this course and bring it back to glory!
A place with saving
I love this course. First time I played it was in 1983. It has so much meaning to me. It is in jeopardy though. They owner wants to bulldoze it. The staff is small but they are doing their best to keep it up. The foundation is there to be great again. Visit this site:

Calumet Country Club
A true shame how they have let this course deteriorate.
Such potential to be a great course with the proper maintenance. Only saving grace was that no one was there so we played without delays.
Hidden Gem
Beautiful, challenging and economical! A Donald Ross designed, heavily forested course has a great flow. The shady hills and slopes are a perfect backdrop for those who seek a challenge. Hit the ball straight and you will fine. The course is a work in progress, bunkers need help. The friendly staff is working hard to get it back to its original glory. Bring extra water balls- just in case.
