Golfer Reviews
Course is nice
The course is in very good shape compared to years in the pass. I got a great deal on GN for $38 it was a DEAL!!! Friendly staff i hope the the club house doesn't raise the green fees to much but the course looks real good!!! 2 years ago it was in horrible shape
Super swampy and poor grass everywhere... It turned into a golf course that I would play again regularly.
Putting Green Reality
Eisenhower and Compass Point are both AACO public golf courses. Compass Point cuts multiple holes (cups) in both of their putting greens and Eisenhower does not. Putting is more of an art and you need holes to practice your putting. When I asked why Eisenhower only cuts holes for special event, Navy team or other schools, I was told it was Superintendents choice. This is really a poor decision and poor customer service. Eisenhower should not be providing preferential treatment to educational organizations who are not paying taxes to support the course. I find no plausible reason Eisenhower is not cutting holes in their (chipping) green, as the design is not really a putting green in the first place. Eisenhower, how about getting with the program and meet the same standards as Compass Point!
Nice course!
I play this course for the first time and was paired with two young men that were very nice and showed me the way around the course will definitely play again.
First Time
First time playing here, Fun Course and Great Staff, Construction going on for New club house but still offering a great experience! Will be returning.
Nice course
First time playing the course. Enjoyed the layout and challenge. Scorecard should include hole layouts.
Must play track
Excellent course The first and 10th tee view is truly outstanding . The whole course
Is gorgeous Highly recommend and I will be back soon
Beautiful track
Enjoyed this course immensely wil definitely play again The view from the 1st and 10 tees are amazing it deserves to called the Preserve
It was it very good shape
Very good but missing some key pionts
Played The Preserve for the 1st time. The course and driving range were in good shape. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, they use gas carts which takes a may from the overall experience and they do not have GPS, which is just pathetic. On a completely different note, it was extremely hot when I played and they don't provide water on the course which is both stupid and dangerous. To make matters worse, they did not have a beverage cart working that day.
Under construction
The layout is good but very quirky. But, having played in Ireland and Scotland, I had no problem with it. The greens were in nice shape but a little slow. The grass around the greens needs a lot of improvement. Since so much construction is ongoing, it feels like you're playing at a construction site. Hopefully that will be resolved by next season. As long as you can play for around $50 it's worth it IMO.
Nice county course.
Nice course with some elevation changes. Several blind holes. Currently club house under renovation so got three stars for the difficulty to get back for a drink. Surely will be nice once clubhouse is open. Staff was all very friendly. And helpful. Will definitely try there again once the renovations are done.
Gem
This is one of my favorite courses to play. Course is in good condition (coming from a casual player). Pace is good most days. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Upgrades coming
New clubhouse on the way so there's a lot of construction. The greens, fairways and tee boxes are in excellent shape. Hopefully the price won't increase too much when the construction is done.
