$25 for 18 and a cart
Not the greatest course but still had a good time here. The one thing that I didn't like was that each hole did not have a marking telling you what hole you were on.
Broke 90!
Great place to sharpen your game, some tricky tight holes, along with some wide open layouts. This was my lowest round this year, so it's extra special
A local gem
Fun layout and relaxed atmosphere. Greens and fairways in good condition but some of the tee boxes could use some work. Always a good valuewith good pace of play for the average golfer.
18 holes in 3 and half hours!
Course is ok but we did 18 holes in 3 hours and 30 minutes! Totally worth the money if you don’t care that it’s not a country club
Disappointed
Gave it a second chance and it disappointed me again staff are super unfriendly got there 20 minutes early to setup my cart to get ready for my tee time and guy wouldn’t let me pay or get the cart said come back at my tee time to pay and get the cart then once left called on my way back home since I forgot something and they said they found it went back next day and it was gone very scummy wouldn’t recommend this course to my worse enemy
Good Value
Tough course, Narrow.. No reason to play RED!! Such little difference,
Slowest pace of play I have ever been a part of
Past 3 times I have come to this course the pace has been unbearable, Saturday round took 5:30. They decided to schedule 2 seperate memorial events (which meant countless groups of 6+ people, with at most 12 people standing around a green). Made the turn behind a 6some, and there were 6 carts waiting to tee off on 1.
place is a dump
Wouldn’t play here unless you want the worst golf experience of your life. It’s cheap for a reason, got to the back 9 and there’s 3 groups waiting to tee off. Just ridiculous. Terrible conditions.
Slowest 7am tee time ever!
Meth heads have more teeth in their face than this place has grass on tee boxes or greens, played it 2 years ago in a scramble it was fun and quirky. Now the course is a complete dump, they’ll book 2 foursomes at the same time. 5 & 1/2 hour 18 and we teed off at 7am. I’ve never experienced a slower early morning tee time. Staff is friendly, but the course and the beginners out there make this place dreadful. Never again.
Pace of play was verry, very slow. A foursome in front of me was slowing down the whole golf course and there was no ranger to monitor pace of play.
Great Value & Fun Course
This course is hard to beat for $25. Really fun layout. It’s a bit on the shorter side but if you’re used to 6500+ yards, this will give you an opportunity to use irons and fairway metals off the tee box if your an above average player from the blue tees. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the conditions and the other type of golfers you’ll run into here. Conditions really aren’t terrible just know going into this that it’s not exactly pure. Greens are really slow but some people enjoy that. Don’t be shocked if some gen pop golfer steals your ball from another fairway here. All that being said, definitely play here.
Weird layout
The course was fine, but the layout is weird. It is pretty hard to tell where to go after a lot of holes and their is a 90yd par 3 that should simply not exist. But it was cheap and a good value. It was decently maintained, just not worth the drive for me.
Always Great to return and play a round at Downing Farms!
Without sounding Snobish Downing Farms is Hands down the best "Budget" course in the entire area. Always a pleasure making it back to Downing Fatms.
