Salem Hills Golf Club

Great course and was in great condition this July. There was a slow group in front of us but we passed them on the turn. Then we were not waiting at all. The price is a little steep but the course is in good condition.

My dad and I have played in a golf league at Salem Hills for nearly 20 years without any significant issues until the recent change in ownership.

During one of our league rounds, my 85-year-old Vietnam veteran father was asked to leave the golf course because he had parked in the wrong location. Instead of handling the situation with understanding even after it was moved, he was removed from the course. It was embarrassing for him and put a damper on the entire league’s evening.

In my experience, the new ownership has created an atmosphere that feels overly rigid and focused on enforcing rules rather than providing good customer service. As longtime league golfers who have supported this course for many years, we expected more flexibility and respect.

The staff members we’ve interacted with have always been friendly and hardworking, and I appreciate their efforts. My concerns are directed at the management and ownership, not the employees.

I also don’t believe the food offers good value for the price, and while the golf course is in decent condition, I don’t find the layout to be exceptional enough to justify overlooking the customer experience.

There are many excellent public courses in the area, and based on our recent experience, our league will likely choose to play elsewhere in the future. Longtime customers deserve to be treated with respect and common sense, and unfortunately that was not our experience.

Love this place

Love this place. Great experience every time we're here. Great staff. Great course maintenance. A lot of fun to golf. Love their little coolers as well. Highly recommend as always.

Solid track. Fun and fair. Greens rolled true. Bunkers were very hard not in difficulty but condition. Crunchy. Pace of play was slow. Last 4 holes, a 2some came out of no where and joined the 3some in front of us. 5 hour round. Ranger was no where to be found. Will probably play again before the end of the year but will not part of my regular rotation.

Salem Hills is a decent course with an okay layout. Conditions are good and greens are nice and fast. $80 is wild for this course but they get away with it. Pace of play seems to be an issue here with many bottle necks. This is a $60 course not $80. If you need to get out and this is what’s available, go for it.

Yesterday was the 2nd time playing Salem Hills GC. I highly recommend it depending on how much you have to pay. I found a Hot Deal for $45.00 and used my $10 off coupon. Since I made the tee time for 2 players and was only able to use 1 coupon, with tax it was $41.00 per player. The course was in good condition, it is very playable and it is what you see is what you get except for Hole 11, dog leg right Par 4. Overall the sloping green is the course's protection and teeth. Putt with confidence 17 inches past the hole because if you try to die the ball into the hole, it will snap left or right. Enjoy it.

Enjoyed this course quite a bit, it was in good shape for being early in the season. We had a lot of recent rain and the water was managed well in the course. This is on my list to play again this year.

Very well maintained and beautiful course. Not particularly challenging. Long but pretty straight. Not much water to worry about. Really loved it. Will be in the mix going forward.

Course was wet in areas but we have had alot of rain. Grass recently cut so clippings left in areas. Overall good value when booking through GolfNow “hit deals”

This was my first time playing this course and it is very well maintained course. Greens and fairways are in great shape. Course is very forgiving with wide open fairways and huge greens. Never had any bad lies in fairways or in rough. Back nine are more interesting and little more challenging than front. Will definitely play here again. Thanks

Nice place but a tad more than others in the area. Still standing water issues - something they've had to deal w for a long time.

Tee boxes are quite beat up and surprised to see areated greens in a holiday weekend w no sand fill. Not ideal.

Always a great experience here. Very nice staff, course in excellent condition. Love the atmosphere of the whole place. Recommend to anyone!
