West at Tamarack Golf Course

This course is a nice layout, fairways were in good shape, greens are starting to get a little beat up (lots of players not fixing ball marks) but still roll nicely. It is a county course so pace of play can be slow- but it’s a nice walk. No water out on the course or in the cooler by the starter.

Great course. Fun and clean. Well taken care of. We played the West course can’t wait to go back. We live in Monmouth county so we play a lot of courses here and the staff is always snotty. But that’s not the case here. Very friendly and helpful.

You try and play early on a weekend to be done in less than 4 hours. I played Sunday at 8 and didn't get out until 12:45. That's unacceptable and the starters/rangers need to do a better job of enforcing pace of play. West was in decent condition. Some more crab grass on the sides and around the greens than I'd like, but the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in relatively good shape. Greens were actually flying. If pace of play is corrected, it would be a good time. If not I don't see myself coming back here.

The newly renovated West course conditions were almost perfect. The greens were excellent and the pace is much more challenging than they were on the old course. They add some elevation changes and the greens are no longer just flat and boring. The fairways are well maintained and the changes are a huge improvement.

The weather was perfect, course in good shape. Staff pleasant. Only problem was the starter was not around so just went to first tee and started to play. Waited about 10 minutes and no starter.. Very strange.

Track is reasonable but pace of play is too slow. Bailed after 13. Running a 6 hour round.

All of the staff had an attitude. I asked for a gatorade and waited 5 minutes before I got a response because sge was flipping burgers. No apple pay and no cart driving around. Imagine paying 90 dollars when its 100 degrees and you get this kind of service. Course is good, staff was bad
