Quail Brook Golf Course

With the amount of play this place gets one would think it would be in at least somewhat beat up shape. Absolutely not! Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in fantastic shape! Greens are super fast and true. Pace was a bit slow for a weekday is my only complaint. Well done somerset county. Always look forward to a round at Quail!

Conditions here rival a high-end private club — genuinely excellent for a public course. The clubhouse is refreshingly no-frills, almost like a small-town community center, and it only adds to the charm. The county has clearly invested in what matters: the practice range, driving range, and putting green are all well maintained. The clubhouse itself is clean and covers the essentials — spotless bathrooms, a card-accepting vending machine, a clean water fountain. It’s a no-frills, vintage golf experience in the best sense: pure, well-run golf without the pretense.

Nice way to spend a Saturday mid day. Course in good condition for heavy play. Pace just over 4 hrs. Bring your own beverages and snacks, as there is not cart service or water on the course. B- overall for me.

We had a great round of golf at Quail Brook. The course was in excellent shape and played fair. Pace play was excellent. They offer a grass driving range and a nice practice putting green. The only negative was the lack of amenities. There is no food offered nor is there a beverage cart. For the price on a weekend it’s hard to beat Quail Brook. We will definitely be back!

My friends & I okay here & Spookybrook at least 3 times a month. There always in amazing shape & the staff is always kind to us. The pace of play is never a problem both club houses have all the essentials. I can’t recommend either course enough.

The course was in good shape and the greens were diverse but not too difficult. Big fairways and a mix of long par 4’s and par 3’s. Will come back the price was right.

Overall nice course. Greens are in great shape but difficult. Fairways are in good shape. Roughs were in bad shape. They were thin and dried out which made the course play much easier than it would if they were plush. The layout makes it difficult for to walk with many holes very far apart. Range was off Matt’s which were not in good shape. Staff was friendly. As far as time goes, played well on a Wednesday.

The course was in its usual good condition. However, the greens were so fast as to be oppressive, and the long grass “habitat“ areas were excessively punitive. As a result, I lost numerous balls. Not as much fun as it should be.
