Flanders Valley Golf Club - Red/Gold Course
About
Flanders Valley Golf Course boasts two championship courses that sprawl across the rolling countryside of Morris County. The facility is considered one of the best public golf courses in New Jersey and has even been ranked as one of the top 75 public courses in the country. The Red-to-Gold Course has a hillier terrain than the other course, White-to-Blue, which has a more traditional design. It is the more challenging of the two courses with mature trees scattered throughout and uneven lies provided by the elevation changes, which also offer scenic views of the idyllic surroundings. The Red-to-Gold's seventh hole is the most difficult of all the 36 holes at Flanders. This tricky par 4 has trees flanking both sides and it is also subject to the prevailing winds.

Course is magnificent
I’ve played this course over a few years now and I can honestly say they are really improving. The course has never been in better shape. The starters are all gentlemanly and they really help to make the round an experience. It’s a must play course
Incomplete
I was only able to play nine on this round. Got called away at the turn. Grabbed a hot deal, which was walking, so I hoofed it with my bag on my back. Not disappointed at all with the course. Tees, fairways and greens were in very good conditions. The bunkers were rocky and need more tending to. It’s a good walk. Some steep holes and plenty of cardio out there for you. Met some good guys who played the course often and even though they were way ahead of me with skill, they were fun and made it a good half round for me. I’ll definitely be back to this course and plan on doing 18 and hopefully card a good score.
Hidden cart fee
When u think your getting a good deal….. ur not look out of the hidden $25 cart fee
AVOID. SAND TRAPS AND TEE BOXES UNPLAYABLE ..VERY POOR CONDITION
Avoid . Sand Traps unplayable no sand rocks etc, Tee Boxes all dirt . Ton of walkers slow pace down. Just a course that is in brutal condition. Not worth $35 a round. Paid $100..Live you learn..Avoid Flanders Red/Gold . Better Options around.
Tee boxes
The tee boxes were in horrible shape as were the sand traps otherwise the course was in good shape. The pace of play was fine
Stay away from this place
I played here a few times 5-6 years ago and was not bad . The course now is in terrible condition. Tee boxes are so bad , some boxes it's difficult to find grass ! Every green has different speeds . Massive rocks / boulders in the bunkers . Checked in and the guy inside was so rude . Went outside to the starter and he was nowhere to be found ? I also found the gator aid was $4 bucks . $90 for holiday and out of county ! Wow .
Morris county should be ashamed of themselves. What a waste of time and money .
Trust me , it's bad !!
