Golfcourse really bad shape
Greens were just aerated and we were not told. Fairways and tee boxes were dirt and weeds. Course needs serious work. Very very disappointed
Mercer oaks east
I had played the west course a few times over the past 3 years and it was always in good shape with nice greens.Today I played the east course and it was really bad. They just aerated the greens and we were not told in advance. The tee boxes were mostly weeds and dirt and the fairways were no better. It looked like a golf course going out of business that had no one caring for it. STAY AWAY
Courses is a disgrace
It appears the entire course is under repair. Everything from tee boxes to fairways to Greens were aerated. Greens were covered in sand unputtable. There was no first cut and the greens around the fairways were so long you lost your ball if you didn't find the middle of the fairway All of this with no prior notification to booking a tee time and then to top it off they charge full price. What a disgrace! What an embarrassment. It's wrong, it's a crime who does this ??
At least be honest and say the course is in not in good condition. Tried to upload pictures but it not working
Average golf course near Princeton area
Beat up tee box. Lots of fairways need repair due to weed grass all over. Green roll good. Guess what, Most players doesn't seem to fix their divots or ball marks. Course layout is good and decent. Pace is normal.
Always a pleasant round
While East and West courses are quite different, one common feature of each is meaningful tee times and attentive and friendly starters/rangers. While the rough varied in thickness, bare stretches should be expected in August and that does not detract from the overall experience. Clearly, the cart fee contributes to the many who walk the course, but it is a very walkable tract.
Challenging course for the Intermediate golfer
Its a challenging course with alot of sand traps. Good fairways and greens. Must keep ones drives straight. Tall grass on either side of the fairway and its almost impposible to find ones ball. Sand traps need alot of work (standing water / a lot of pebbles). Needs better markers (some holes have them and others dont). No water coolers.
No water on course
In addition to no water coolers on course there were no port a potty's. There was a cart girl so it wasn't a safety hazard to not have water coolers and the starter did give you one bottle of water at the first tee. The lack of on course bathrooms is a particular inconvenience for ladies. The men can simply go in the woods, not an option for us ladies. The layout is good. The greens were also in decent shape. There were a lot of dried out areas but you can't control the weather and I'm sure the course will recover after the hot weather goes away.
East Course
2nd time playing the East course, nice course although some of the tee boxes and fairways need some work. Layout is good, only complaint was it was extremely hot and no water coolers on course. They said they will be getting them soon. I would definitely play the East, links style course again
No Shade, No Breeze
I wanted to try a "links style" course for a change. This (East Course) was a good choice but I'll stick with parkland style (West Course). Links style means minimal shade and it was hot (mid to upper 80s). There was no breeze to help cool things. Other than that, the course was a fun track...fairly wide open but tall, thick underbrush on many holes if you missed the fairway. Too thick to find, retrieve or play your ball. It's walkable but on a day like this, I would recommend a cart for some relief.
171
First time playing the course this year.
Course is in great shape , except for the green on 17, which inexplicably has numerous parts damaged and chewed up.
17 is a hole that seems like it doesn’t belong on the course as well. Kind of weird.
Great value
We love this course. Great conditions, great layout. Could do a little more to speed up play.
Great wide open course
Not your typical links course; this feels more like a traditional course minus the trees and some extra bunkers. Great course if you have a slice as the rough isn’t terrible either and there isn’t a lot of fescue. Greens were fun and in good condition; will absolutely be back.
