Monroe Country Club

I arrived about 40 minutes early to practice but did not realize that that is not a driving range. They did have a chipping and putting area so I checked in and went to work chipping. While I was practicing a young gentleman asked me if I was playing solo and I told him I was. He stated they had room for me if I wamted to play with them, and of course I agreed. I would be getting out 30 minutes early. It turns out the gentleman and his friend were members which I would take full advantage of never had played there before. We had an amazing time. The course was not perfect but the greens were solid. The pace of play was acceptable, and the company paid off. The course was very challenging. It wasn't too long so you would have wedges into some of the greens. My driver was not cooperating but I figured it out and had an acceptable score, for me. I had a great time thanks to Kyle and Que(?). Apologies Que if I spelled your name incorrectly. They invited me back anytime, and I will take them up on that the next time I am in town.

The course is perfect for a laid back round of golf. The staff is extremely friendly, the tequila grille is great (prices and quality). The bunkers could use some work and there a few bad spots on the fairway but the greens are challenging and well maintained.

On this course which is 5 mins from my house ..You need a long driver, long irons and woods..and serious chipping and putting skills ..

Improving golf course .. full 18 holes .. stay in fairway and you’ll love this course.. bring your driver ..

Played with my buddy and after a quick 9 we decided to play another 9. I would not recommend playing 18. It’s the same holes with different tees. The sand traps were nothing but rock, fairways are extremely hard. I would not come back to this course. Oh, and if you decide to play 9 and then play another 9, be ready for them to hit you with the full amount of another 9 holes. You would think they would ask to pay for the difference between 18 and 9, since you already paid for 9. Anyway, you live and learn, I would not go back.

Nice layout, good Greens, some fairways need watering..Great Price..

I stopped playing after the 8th hole. Can’t tell the difference between the fairways and the ruff. Sand traps are almost gravel. From the tee box to the fairways are rock hard. Could break your irons.

First time playing here. Met the owner who was extremely pleasant. He just took over the course this year which was in poor condition. You can tell that while there's some work to be done (bunkers were weed infested) he has definitely plowed a lot of time and money to getting the place back to respectful condition. Greens were well maintained, carts were new, and the price was right. Look forward to playing here again amd watching them continue the improvement process.

Definitely play there again. Cant wait to see the improvements they have planned. Staff golf, fairways & greens were lovely, bunkers need some lovin but that’s on the agenda.

Bar & restaurant was great also 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
