Course is nearly impossible to get a decent tee time. They run leagues on both nines during the afternoons. You cannot get a morning tee time on the weekends, as people pay extra money to keep their same tee times week after week When able to get out in the pm, a ranger would follow and tell us constantly that we're not gonna finish because he wants the carts back by 7 pm. ( Which they explicitly told us before teeing off.). I understand improvements were made, but I am unable to comment on as I have been denied playing the 3 times I tried this year. Rough was always out of control. I've bought membership to a course 45 minutes away. I get home earlier than I would if I went to Stony. Rounds there are always 5+ hours. It's ridiculous.
Course closed but not according to golf now
Bought a hot deal on 11/24 and drove an hour to get there. Course was closed. Doors were locked. Golf now still selling hot deals. How is this possible.
Slow play
Great layout and value. Pace of play was awful. I was disappointed when they came out and said that we had to be off the course by 515 even though there was plenty of light. They did not enforce it after all.
Most of the sand traps need more sand in them and less rocks
Decent price for 18 during the week
Recommend filling the bunkers with little sand instead of hitting a bunch of rocks
c'mon, golfnow.....
love this course,.....great track and except for a few tee boxes, excellent conditions. What I don't understand is how our pals here at golf now are charging 65 bucks PLUS fees, when you can call the course, make a reservation, and only pay 57 dollars>....
