This was my favorite course to play. This sucks that the new owner is a selfish lair , who is closing the course permanently.

This course is nearly empty during the morning on weekdays, I have enjoyed golfing there over the past year. I called in advance and I was told by Mike it would be alright to bring my son along with me today to watch and learn the game. When I arrived at the pro shop, Jim (the big guy), instantly gave me an attitude and said I could not bring my son along. I offered to sign a liability waiver to quell his concern. As he called his boss, Mike who had given me the go ahead to come over the phone came in and we started to discuss the matter. This conversation soured quickly and I decided to leave the course. What is it about some of these miserable old guys who run golf courses? Are all these people on drugs? I personally blame statins.

Great Day at one of my favorite courses in the Hudson Valley. Mostly cloudy turned to downpours for a good 20 minutes, but it cleared up and Sunny by time I parred the 18th!

Found out that they are closing within a week or two,,,,,,so get here and play it.

Course leaves a lot to consider. No driving range. Tee boxes need a to of work. Sand traps need big time maintenance even though the were very few.

No at all marked for distance. Cart path only with no direction for where to drive. No food or beverage on the course with no water!!!!! Garbage all over the place. What a dump!

Lots of rain this past week, but still was expecting better conditions. Course is very hilly & has several blind holes. There’s a chipping green and putting green, but no driving range to warm up on. Cart direction could be better marked as there was some confusion by several groups about where to go for the next hole. Was hoping to go inside and grab some food and a drink after, but the Pub was empty and no bartender to be found. It felt like I may have been in the wrong area, since there were no bottles behind the bar, but no, that’s the dining area. Seems like they might be paying more attention to special events like weddings than golf here.

I gave this course a 2 star rating out of generosity. Now that they still haven’t refunded double charging me, I can fully say that this is top 2 worst courses in the Hudson valley, and no it’s not #2. Awful pin placement, uncut fairways, water hazards from rain, and dirt tee boxes. If you wanna play golf and this is your only option, just go to ur local field and play there, conditions should be about the same. Pace of play was excellent though!

i didnt think it could get worse from years ago.. course unplayable and didnt rain. charged 4 different prices for our group, a friend was charged 5 times for a round and 6 golf balls, there was noone at bar or restaurant to take orders after round and food took 30 minutes for a burger. very displeased with entire Falkirk location.

Booked an outing with family coming in from CT and NC. Arrived two hours early and was told that there are no carts available and that there was no timetable of when they would come back. Was informed that the head pro was fired the week before by the owners and they called in a retired employee to fill-in last second. No starter. No marshalls. Fill-ins at the pro shop and handling the carts. Finally got out onto the first tee 45 minutes late and wasn’t able to finish our round of 18. Horribly run golf course. Would not recommend this course to anyone

Tee boxes in horrible shape, course was in horrible shape wet balls would plug lost balls in soggy areas greens were very nice however

This course is borderline unplayable after rain, and I’d also stray away from too dry. I played this in late summer about 7-8 days after rain and it was great. The layout is interesting and challenging, lot of holes to decide wood or driver. Some great views too on 9 and 18.

The staff is eh. Younger guys, no one was even really manning the clubhouse when I was there. There’s hardly a starter and no ranger / bev cart

For the value, it’s a decent play

Tee boxes are destroyed. No grass. Hitting off dirt. Puddles everywhere. No starter and nanger and no rules. 6somes we're playing. Beer csns all over fairway. No starter and no ranger. Pace of play with 2mph cart is about 5 to 5.5 hours.

There was a lot of rain the days prior to our tee time, so we knew it was going to be wet conditions. However, the drainage system for the course is just non existent. Most holes were down right unplayable. You couldn't even walk in most spots, let alone drive a cart through. With that said, the greens were in nice condition, but probably only because of the rain. We were a twosome and saw a lot of single players out there, so if you like the chance of playing alone, you might want to take a flyer on this course. If you can play in the summer with dry condtions, it might be better value. I read other reviews which said there was no rain for weeks and yet the course was still soaked. The owners just refuse to invest money into it, I suppose.

This is a real jewel. I read questionable reviews on line and hesitated to try it. But finally did, and decided to pay for a seasonal membership. It’s a challenging but fair course, and the new owners are investing in it. My new home course!
