Are you playing so much that your golf accessories are wearing down? We share some replacement options in this month's roundup.
GolfPass Gear Report - July 2024

Presented by PGA Tour Superstore

With summer in full swing, hopefully you're burning through your accessories with all the golf you're playing.

Has your golf bag broken down or your grips wearing thin? Is your body falling apart from playing five times a week? All of these issues are first-world problems for golfers. They're real, and they're spectacular. We'd rather have it this way than our golf bags gathering dust in the garage.

This month's GolfPass Gear Report focuses on things that might need to be replaced after heavy usage this year. We've even thrown in a training aid if you're not playing as well as you'd hoped and a golf book for that summer vacation lounging by the pool in between rounds. Even when we're off the course, we can never get enough golf.

Available in four different grinds and two finishes - brushed chrome and black shadow - this weapon could take your short game to the next level. $179.99

Payne Stewart Collection

Payne Stewart Collection - polo
The Payne Stewart Collection was unveiled in Pinehurst earlier this year.

Has that mustard stain ruined your favorite golf shirt this summer? The polos of the Payne Stewart Collection can step in as an upgraded replacement. This new collection was unveiled during the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Stewart's 1999 victory. Stewart had a flamboyant style all his own, rocking knickers and colorful shirts. The brand is staying authentic to Stewart, using his signature and that iconic fist pump at Pinehurst as its logo. Stewart's 35-year-old son Aaron serves as brand ambassador. Polos, quarter zips, vests, outwear and hats, including Payne's Tam Dusk, are part of the first release. The shirts feature wrinkle-resistant cooling yarn that's machine washable. $110-$125 - Jason Scott Deegan

PXG's new Xtreme Stand Bags cut a strong silhouette.

Is your golf bag on its last leg? The Scottsdale-based golf brainchild of Bob Parsons just unveiled two new varieties of stand and hybrid carry golf bags: the Xtreme and the Deluxe. Variations on PXG's black/white colorways are available and features include a base that is shaped to lock into push cart bases, which keeps the bag from twisting during a round. $295-$395. - Tim Gavrich

A portion of proceeds from Steph Curry's special-edition GolfPride grips will go towards his Underrated youth sports organization.

Are your grips ground down to nothing? The Golden State Warriors and Team USA star is a golf nut, and his Underrated organization teamed up with the Pinehurst-based grip company to release a limited number of sets of special-edition grips. Available in Standard and Midsize, they include Underrated's 3-star logo (a nod to Curry's own recruiting designation coming out of high school). A portion of each sale supports Underrated and their efforts to make golf more accessible and inclusive. $249.99 (13 grips). - TG

Jazz Band Live

Jazz Band Live - product review
The Jazz Band Live provides light therapy for a golfer's aches and pains.

Feeling the aches and pains of the golf season? Most of us golfers are no stranger to pain, especially when it comes to our backs, elbows and hips. I've been battling back pain and hip and shoulder stiffness ever since I cracked a vertebra as a teenager. I've tried all sorts of remedies - heating pads, ice, chiropractors, even CBD oil. None of it's worked very well ... until I started using DNA Vibe's Jazz Band Live. This wearable easily hugs any trouble spot: ankles, knees, elbows, wrists, shoulders, necks, backs, etc. Four different therapy modes activate with the push of a button - red light, near-infrared, magnetic pulse and micro-vibration - to offer relief. Once you plug the Jazz Band in, it automatically runs for an hour (perfect for a "session") before automatically turning off. It's so easy to use that I'm writing this review with it wrapped around my shoulder. $279. - JSD

Golf Swing Shirt

Golf Swing Shirt
CEO Raymond Rapcavage demonstrates how to use the Golf Swing Shirt at the 2024 PGA Show in Orlando.

Looking to improve on recent rounds? The Golf Swing Shirt just might be the coolest - and weirdest - training aid you'll ever try. And it might be just what more golfers need: something simple enough that it could actually work. There's no thinking with the Golf Swing Shirt. Simply put it on over your golf shirt, slide both arms into the front sleeve and start practicing. That elastic front sleeve forces golfers to swing on plane and keep their arms connected from back swing to follow through. Maybe it's time to get rid of that flying elbow once and for all. $69. - JSD
