Turkeyfoot Lake Golf Links - Long 9

THESE GREENS ARE THE BEST GREENS I HAVE PLAYED ON ALL YEAR IN OHIO. BETTER THAN MANY PRIVATE CLUBS. OVERALL CONDITION OF COURSE IS COUNTRY CLUB QUALITY. CONSIDERING THE SEVERE DROUGHT WE ARE EXPERIENCING COURSE WAS MUCH BETTER THAN I WAS EXPECTING.

The course and layout are great at Turkeyfoot. Each hole is a different test. Very tight on some or wide open on others. Greens were fast and rolled true. The staff is mehh. Clubhouse is mehh. Overall I love Turkeyfoot and will always come back.

The greens keeper must have been having a bad day. Almost every pin was in a very difficult position, many about 10 feet from the fringe and several right on the top of a ridge. The greens were very hard and fairly fast. So it was next to impossible to stop the ball on the greens, much less close to the pin. Even wedges left no ball marks on the green. I had nine 3 putts and my buddy had about the same. Will not play again.

Very long and nice course to play!

The golf course is maintain very well. Great scenic views. Its worth the drive, price cheap for a great course.

This course is worth the trip, conditions on par with the best in Cleveland. Even though a shorter course (6400 from the tips) still use almost every club. Probably the toughest greens in Northeast Ohio. Super fast and roll true, just don't be above the hole.

Must be a Sand based course,because after the rain we had, the course was very dry we were able to take carts out.

I would play it again

They have tee times, a starter, but he put a twosome out in the middle of foursomes, then but a foursome out , then another twosome. No ranger to speed players up, Too long of a round.

We played at 5pm on Sunday and found the course to be in good condition and the staff friendly and helpful. One of the staff even helped my daughter unload the clubs into our car while I made a pit stop at the clubhouse. The clubhouse is older but is kept clean. The course would be in better shape if the golfers would take the time to repair divots and ball marks. The only drawback is the 18th hole runs along a busy road which can be distracting to a new golfer such as myself. I look forward to playing at Turkeyfoot again in the future.

The coarse was in great condition, the staff were friendly, and I was impressed with the layout.

Played an evening round at Turkeyfoot after getting a great deal online. The course is in great condition and very green even with the lack of rain in the area. The course is not long, however, the day we played the pins were all on ridges or slopes and the greens were as slick as glass. This made placement of your approach shots key. There were times that members of my group were on the wrong side of the hole putting for birdie and had no chance to stop it within 10 feet of the cup. Overall, a nice challenge for any golfer and a prime example of how a course does not have to be long to be challenging.

Greens were in great shape as well as the fairways.

This course is always well kept and the staff is friendly. Our last trip we got stuck behind a league, so pace of place was pretty slow. We still enjoyed our round very much and definitely will be back.

Teed off by myself, no one in front of me. Played 12 holes in 1:15 (great). I got to number 13 and now I find 6 groups ( twosomes and foursomes) in front of me. poor management of course, to put these people out in front of me. I was very disappointed by this.

Course is in fantastic shape . My wife and I enjoyed our round

1224pm tee time arrived early and heavy play. Either over booked or an early outing. A few 3's went out even after checking with the starter but wasn't placed with any as a single to help fill in. 1st 3 holes can be seen from the clubhouse and 2 groups on each hole. The local gang was hanging around to get out, either as it opens or with a tee time no idea if they had one. They did get right ahead of my 4 some. All are locals who have played for years and work part time on the course, plus played a 5 some with the owners PGA pro's son. They do play fast but on the 2nd par 3 tee we had 13 waiting. At the turn a 20 min wait and still they did not take them out of line since play was so slow, 3:20 to hit on 10th tee. Again waited in middle of 10th fairway and since so close to the parking lot called it a day. This is not new for the course. Sad thing is at 10 the owner came out and talked with the group and I know all of them and played here for over 60 yrs. If need be they should have dropped out since even being no rev dollars.

The course is in great shape. Greens beautiful and rolling well. Always enjoyable here.

You can pretty much assume you've let too many golfers off if you are out of carts. We had to wait until just a couple minutes before our tee time to get a cart because they were all taken. There were then 3 groups on the first tee ahead of us even though it was time for us to tee off. We waited each and every shot and finished the front in 3 hours. The only good thing I can say is that they did give us a rain check for the back when we told them we were not willing to take another 3 hours to play 9 more holes. There is no excuse to allow that many golfers to play at the same time. I know they're in the business of making money but after I use my rain check I won't be back. I was really looking forward to playing there too since its been a few years since the last time I played there.

They continue to overbook. 6 hours for round starting at 11:45 on a Saturday. At the turn, new groups were even having to wait for carts coming off of 18 to start their round. Out of carts - overbooked?

Not only did the weather cooperate but I had a pretty good round
Pace of play was slower than I like.
The course is in great shape
