Sycamore Springs Golf Course
About
Sycamore Springs Golf Course has managed to stay one of Arlington's best-kept secrets since it first opened as a nine-hole course in 1958. The second nine wasn’t added until 1994. It's often considered an underrated course, but locals in the know will tell you it's one of the most challenging rounds you'll find in the area. The golf course has a traditional design that measures 6,681 yards. It would be a mistake to underestimate Sycamore Springs since there are a number of tricky doglegs that require some deft maneuvering and greens that play fast and true. The golf course is especially tough on windy days. There are a few ponds that come into play and a creek meanders through the course as well. Sycamore Springs G.C. also has a driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping green for golfers to use.

Some wide open shots and tight fairways
If you like fast firm Greene, this is the place for you. They bounce like hitting on hardwood lol overall pretty cool though
Great Course!
Great course in fantastic condition. While the course is not extremely difficult, it has some really nice holes, with a nice variety of straight and doglegs, and a couple of drivable par 4s. My only quibble is that they need a ranger on the course. I went out as a single, and after flying around the front side, I sat and waited on every tee on the back. There was a twosome in front of me and another single in front of them, and we were all stuck behind a foursome of seniors who stubbornly refused to let anyone play through. When all 4 of us were lined up on the 15th tee, I finally asked the twosome (who had totally ignored me as I sat on multiple other tees right behind them) if I could pass them and join the other single. It would have been nice if there had been a ranger on the course to encourage the foursome to let the singles/twosome play through, as what should have been a great day on a beautiful course turned extremely frustrating on the back side.
Nice place
Properly maintained. Not as easy place to score. Par 5s are tough. Greens are nice. Practice facilities are well maintained.
Hidden gem
Only my second time on the course. The greens and fairways are the best in the area! Beautiful! The fairways are tree-lined which makes some holes challenging. But not to difficult for the experienced golfer.
Beautiful course and great staff
It was beautiful course, with nice golf carts and pleasant staff. All at great value
Disappointed
Had a 9 am tee time with friends and teed off slightly late - there was no starter. When we made the turn we were advised we needed to “pick it up a bunch” after playing 9 holes in 2 hours on a weekend while waiting often for the group in front of us. We were advised we had to be done by 1245 for a 1pm outing that was not mentioned at check in. Our group opted to play a scramble on the back 9 and skipped 3 holes to meet this deadline imposed on us. It was disappointing to see the course schedule groups every 8 minutes off from 8-9 knowing they needed the course for a 1pm outing. Overall the course was in fine shape and greens were good. Just disappointed to schedule tee times expecting under 4 hour pace on a Sunday am, especially with no starter or rangers on the course to monitor pace of play.
Great course with some challenging features
Very nice public course for the area. Pace of play is usually fairly good, even on a busier day. Usually do a good job of keeping up on the course conditions. Greens have a nice speed to them to give you the feel of a country club type green. For the price, one of the better values for the surrounding area.
Good course
First time playing this course and it was awesome. Only played the front 9 but definitely the best course I've played in Ohio so far. The fairways and rough were fair and well mowed. The greens were fast but that was expected and the overall layout was good from tee to green. Definitely recommend.
Need faster pace.
Love course but very slow pace. We 've run into slow play almost everytime we are there. Plus nobody wants to let you play thru.41/2 - 5 hour rounds is to long for 3 players or 4 players. If you are moving at a decent pace, 3 1/2 to 4 hours is a good 18 hole round.
Great golf course
Friendly staff, golf course was in great condition for as much rain as we have received in the last week. Would recommend this course to anybody that likes to pay a nice golf course.
