Par 3 at Shawnee Hills Golf Course

They strategically placed their hot deal right behind a high school match. Played the front in 3 hours and 15 minutes. Rangers statement to us on 2 tee: “It’s going to be a long day.” What a way to start the round. Playing in over 6 hours is just not worth playing at all. GolfNow is great, but courses like this make it dangerous.

Rough was long and unforgiving when we played. I never mind that because there is a solution to that problem. Stay out of the rough. Shawnee is a Cleveland Metropark course, they are always in great shape. Played on a Tuesday. Pace of play was great. Might not be that way in the weekends, but this course is definitely a good challenge and worth playing a couple of times a year.

The weather was beautiful. The course was great. Staff was friendly.

Nice layout great pace of play. The fairways & greens were in excellent condition with the roughs being a bit on the thick side, but manageable.

Overall the course was in very nice shape. It is on the short side, with big, fast greens, and hardly any bunkers. I hadn't played this course since high school (20ish years ago) and I was very surprised. While not overly difficult, minus a few tee shots that need to be placed, and holes 11 & 12, this is an easier course, but the conditions were very nice. Pace of play was just fine for a Saturday morning too. I would play again, easy to walk.

I love this course for the price. Metroparks always does a good job maintaining the fairways and greens. Staff is always friendly and helpful. A few rough spots here and there on the course but other than that the nines are pretty straightforward. Forgiving course, so breaking 80 should be attainable, even from the back tees.

Always enjoy playing here, especially when price is right. Metroparks has done a great job with all of their courses and this is no exception. Excellent condition for a public course

If not for the fact the fairways were aerated, the course is in really nice shape

I'm from Chicago live here now and I enjoy playing courses with hills because Illinois is flat. The greens are faster than a lot of local courses.

The overall shape of the course is nice and 10 minutes from my house and the practice facility is okay!

I've been playing this course for 25 years and have never seen it this nice. The grounds crew is doing an amazing job, greens are fast and true. The course isn't overly difficult but it's a good challenge and great value even at full price which we were lucky enough not to pay. Metroparks golf has come a long way. Some of the best public course greens in Cleveland.

The park setting is so relaxing. Easy to enjoy the game!

We showed up and they didn't honor our tee time and wanted us to wait for 7 more groups to make the turn. The staff could careless. I would never go there again. I would gladly pay more and go anywhere else.

played as a foursome and everyone behind us was either single or twoesome. We let a single play through and then a twoesome. Short while later, ranger came up and followed us for four holes rushing us to pick up the pace because ther were all twosomes behind us. And, we were on time, but still being pushed. Ruined our day and game. Very frustrating.

My wife, grandson and I played Shawnee on Thursday, very pleasant round. Good course for my grandson who is a beginner, Fair and in good condition, we enjoyed it very much.
