Stone Ridge Golf Club

Had a 3:30pm tee time here in after noon and when I arrived so did the thunder storm. Every one called off the course and had an 1 hour and 30 minute rain delay due to heavy storms passing through, but at 5 pm me and my new bud Craig I just met, everyone went to the first tee who stayed, and we hit the back 9 running. I was impressed not only buy the course conditions of drainage after that heavy storm, but the course it self is senic and beautiful all the way around. And the greens played very well after the rain. No Swampy type greens here. was nice. Greens in top shape, not a divot to be had really. Rough was the tough part here, very high rough, but I do not blame the course for all the rain they had. Plush fairways. And the look you get making 9th hole and 18th hole coming at the club house is breath taking. We motored this course in under 3 1/2 hours. And what more can I say about Craig, What a super local ohio'n nice man. Now friends I can talk a lot out there, and Craig loved my many stores, And when we finished we shook hands like men and said good bye, and I will never forget the great round we played this day. Laughing. I have to share one hole though, hole 16 I believe is a par 3 185 from tips I think, close anyway. And I hit a 4 iron pin high but down the hill on left to steep incline to the hole. Popped a wedge up and in for a birdie hole out off the green from 23 yards. Awesome!!!!!!! My 7th hole out of the season after playing 55 rounds this season. And my 25th, Birdie 2 on par 3's. I left here again thanking god for letting the rains stop and getting in our 18 holes and a good Guy I met. Thanks for the challenge Stone Ridge. I fired a 40-43=83 Again shooting my HDC 11. from tips.

Although the course was great the staff was extremely rude to me. I would not recommend this course to anybody unless they enjoy getting yelled at by the staff.

Other than the way the group in front of us managed their pace of play (extremely slow and unorganized - typical slow play issues) the course was great. My 11 yr old son and I will be back.

We were approached by the course ranger on the 12th hole. Even though we were well ahead of coarse pace the foursome behind us complained of our slow play. The group in front of us was playing at a very fast pace andhad gotten a hole ahead of us. We were told by the Ranger to hurry our pace of play to catch the group in front of us. We explained that we were playing ready golf and we were not impeding the play of the foursome behind us. The Ranger knew the group behind us which tells me they were regulars and they were very good golfers. We finished the round 10 minutes ahead of coarse pace. I will not return to this course because of the hassle I received from the staff.

It had been a few years since I'd been to Stone Ridge but it has remained a beautiful course in great shape. I will be back.

I love this course. Very challenging, but fair. In great condition and the starter was very friendly. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.

One of my favorites in the area. Links style course that usually plays w some wind but it's not too bad. The course can play as long as 7000yds so with 5 tee boxes there is a good chance you will find a good length to play. Greens are great and overall the course is well kept. This is a semi private so w a strong member base they usually keep the course in great shape like the local country clubs. I highly recommend playing this course.

Very nicely maintained course, a little bit surprised when I came in to the course very first time. Want to be back in soon even I have to drive more than 2 hours.

May well be the best course I have played in NW OHIO.

pace of play is always brutal out there. The rangers do nothing to help speed it up.

Well, the only complaint I had this time was that the beverage cart appeared on the 10th hole after we got drinks from the club house. (It was a hot day.) Other than that no complaint at all...

Probably the nicest course I have played in NW Ohio. Challenging shots from the tee and also almost every approach shot needed to be placed well. Played the Blue tees and was able to brake 90 but just barely... and I am a solid 8 USGA. There are a lot o blind shots and having never played the course before was not sure where I could miss safely... Overall condition was superb with nice fast greens. All 3 of my friends that I brought along loved the course.

Although the course wasn't in the best condition I have ever seen it, it is still one of the best in the area. There are teeing grounds for every skill level that challenge the golfer and force decisions on whether to go for the risky shot that pays big rewards or take the safe route. The fairways, as always, are in great shape. My son, who was playing here for the first time, commented that they were more plush than most greens he was used to. The bunkers, both fairway and greenside, are very well maintained and provide the challenges a golfer should expect when playing out of them. Finally, the greens play at above average speed and putts roll much truer than at anaverage area course. The scorecard provides daily pin placements which makes approach shots easier to judge. I strongly recommend this course to players of all skill levels.

This course is always in fantastic condition. Excellent staff.

The course is in great shape. The food specials in the clubhouse were excellent. The staff is very friendly and courteous.
There were were deer near the course from the forest.
