Fun 9-hole Course
Fine 9-hole course that plays over flat land. However what the course lacks interesting terrain in makes up with small undulating old-school greens and several unique holes routed around an old quarry .
Ignore the previous reviews about people in the pro shop and give this course a try if in the area.
Unique Course - Terrible Management
A course tries to portray itself as 18 holes - but is just a 9 hole course. A unique style course that offers very little challenge, with a very nice price on golfnow. That being said, I've been there 3 times. One time they asked us to wait 30 minutes to tee off because of a scheduling conflict. The next time was without problem. And today, having previously scheduled a "Hot Deal" with golfnow, my wife and I arrived and were told we could not golf because of scheduling conflicts and that we would have to contact golfnow for a refund, no exceptions. The golfpro didn't even get out of his chair or make eye contact to present any amount of apology for the scheduling conflict. A very lazy management on a somewhat hillbilly course. Is it worth $5? Yeah probably. But you're going to be constantly at the mercy of poor management. Just pay the extra $5-10 and play at any of the other much better, much greener courses in Bowling Green and its outlying areas.

Hello and thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for your experience during your round. Please know that this is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game and will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Bowling Green Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Bait and Switch
I was disappointed that the cart fee was not included in the "hot deal". I was not informed of this fact until I arrived at the course. We were charged an additional $11. Had I known this ahead of time I would have chosen a better option.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback to the staff so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting us!
Horrendous service
Absolutely horrendous service. Ran by an incompetent dick

Tom Garcia has no manners and treated us like children. An absolute Donkey
Meh
The man who owns it currently really brings down the overall experience. I paid on Golf Now and then he charged me again after I told him I already paid. The man is very rude. Would be a great little 9 hole course if he was not there.

Hi, Jeremy. Let us first start by thanking you for providing us with feedback. We would like to apologize for the any confusion or misunderstanding with your reservation. The reservation that you booked through GolfNow was a Hot Deal and unfortunately we are only able to honor those tee times at their designated time. That being said, we would like to apologize for any poor customer experience you may have received. We assure you this is not the standard we want to be known for as we always strive to provide the very best 5-star service. If you would like to discuss any concerns further, please feel free to reach out to our pro shop staff or GolfNow's customer service at 1 (800) 767-3574. We hope that we have the chance to welcome you back to Bowling Green Country Club for a more enjoyable golfing experience soon!
Snobby
Went there for the first time earlier this year and the older man (shorter with short dark hair) that works at the pro shop was VERY RUDE! Course conditions were sub par. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again later in the year. Called in my tee time with a younger girl that was very polite over the phone, when I checked in I immediately recognized the older man who said that we needed to be off the course in 90 mins because of an employee outing or he will kick us off himself! To which I replied with, *chuckle* “good luck”. About 6 holes in, this man came from the clubhouse to stop us while we are hitting down the fairway and let’s us know we have 20 mins remaining. I was in disbelief and just ignored him. As we walked on the 9th tee box the employees started their shotgun start and started heading our way, they were very courteous and let us finish our final hole. I will never come back to this course again and will advise anyone to stay away from this course!
A nice, 9 hole course.
The course looks simple, but it challenges even seasoned players. I play in the Senior League and find it to have a good balance of tough holes and more friendly ones. The grounds crew does an outstanding job keeping the course in the best possible condition. The club pro is knowledgeable and helpful with first time golfers. Off course amenities are rather basic and do not include alcoholic beverages or prepared food.

Hello, George. We appreciate the review. You rated us 3-stars which means there is room to improve on your recent experience at Bowling Green Country Club. Let us know, in the comments, how and where you would like to see changes from the course. Thanks for the feedback!
Great local course
Considerable effort has been made by the groundskeeper and staff to keep the course in top condition. Bad weather this year has made it particularly challenging. All in all, though, it's a very nice, 9/18 hole course, meeting the needs of the average golfer. Amenities are a bit light, limited to soft drinks and snacks. With the closure of the Forrest Creason Course at the University, this is the only local alternative to the upscale, more costly Stone Ridge Golf Course.
never been treated so badly
Walk into the office area at one forty five. My tee time was for two. About ten minutes later a person who works the check-in shows up. With a very angry attitude he says what do you want. I say I have a two tee time for my dad and me. He says not on my course. you don't have sleeves. I SAY THAT I HAVE BEEN HERE NUMEROUS TIMES AND ITS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM BEFORE. I ask him if we can work something out it is 90 degrees outside. H E SAYS NO WORKING IT OUT. I say ok I just spent 28 bucks and drove 35 miles to be treated like this. So I let him know I will never play there again. he just scoffs in delight. So after leaving I am wondering how a public golf course with not many patrons survives when the ones who do come get terrible treatment. NOT GOOD BUSSINESS PRACTICES. Unhappy in napoleon.
Fun course to play
The course has always been a favorite of mine. It is only 9 holes but it presents all kind of challenges. The first 3 hole are 2 par 4’s and a par 5.you have to be able to be a good striker of the golf ball. All 3 are legitimate as far as length. The there are 3 par 4’s that are very short but you have to be knowledgeable as far as your club selection off the tee. Then there is one par 3 if average length but you have to carry your tee shot over a quarry. The final hole is just an average par 4 that is usually parable the leaves you wanting to come back again. Ithe greens are some of the best I have ever played on. They hold and the ball rolls smooth. If you’re ever in the area I highly recommend this course . It will be a fun experience.
Great 9 hole course
Great 9 hole course. Greens were some of the best. Staff in the pro shop was very friendly. Love the holes and the water.
Poor
We never even teed off the guy in charge was very rude because my friend was a few minutes lat for tee time. We were perfectly ok with going to back of line and letting those ready to tee off to go first. He wouldnt let that happen and we never got to play we eneded up just leaving and losing money never got a refund do anyone go here its the worst place i have gone .
Friendly little course. Play 9 with my daughter, who's just started playing. We played at good pace. Course was little wet but you will have that beginning of golf season here.
I do not recommend
Tom Garcia, the golf shop pro, was extremely rude and pushy. He treats anyone who is a non member like a child and with zero respect. The course was in terrible shape. Cart trails and fairways were also in very poor condition. I would NOT recommend this course to anyone!
