Cossett Creek Golf Club

About
Located just a few miles north of Medina, Cossett Creek Golf Club has an easily accessible location just three miles west of I-71. The course takes its name from the meandering creek that winds throughout the course. The layout is spread across 130 acres of scenic, gently rolling terrain. It's a round that is player friendly enough for beginners to enjoy but seasoned golfers looking for a quick and challenging round will also be pleased. The front nine is open and forgiving, a nice warm-up to prepare you for what's next. The creek comes into play throughout the golf course and there are three lakes that come into play on the back nine. The holes are tighter on the back nine and they'll put your accuracy to the test. None of the holes are particularly long, but Cossett Creek G.C. is a course that will make you think.

Good for the money
Good course for the money, back 9 is narrow and tough. Staff was welcoming, will play it again, great savings.
Bouncy greens
Great quality of the course, but your ball will bounce 2 feet in the air and keep going! The employees are great, especially for the price, but as we all know that we need backspin, not to chase our golfballs.
The right price
The price was perfect for this course. It was not the worst course I have played by no means, but some of the fairways had a few trouble spots. The staff inside the clubhouse were very friendly, but the starter was a different story. We were hurried off the tee box just to sit and wait on another foursome in front of us. As soon as we tee'd off on #10 the same starter said we needed to pick up the pace. Mind you we had been waiting on this inexperienced foursome all day but I guess we took the blame. Anyhow the course itself was a nice change and for the right price I may come back. The front nine is very very wide open and the back is the total opposite very very narrow
Nice place to come
We play here 3-4 times a year since its close toall of us. Since it sold a few years ago it has just gotten better and better.
Course Condition Improving
For anyone who has played Brunswick Hills in the past can easily see how much improvement has been made in the last year. Unfortunately, due to lots of rain over the past couple of weeks, the course was very wet and the grounds crew had little opportunity to groom the course. We enjoyed our round nonetheless and were very happy with the reception we received from the manager, who was the only staff member on duty that day. We would DEFINITELY play Cossett Creek again.
Great Staff
Last year I played this course about 10 times. Pace of play is good, cheap food and super nice staff. I will play again.
Very Improved
Under new management and very improved! The staff is great, and the course is was in great shape.
Never a Bad Round
I have played Cossett Creek many times now and will continue to go back. The course is in great condition. The beginning of the back 9 is really coming along. Today the greens were in awesome condition, very true! Go Play CossettCreek!
Friendly and clean.
As newbies to golf this is a fine course. I kinda would like to see denser, if that's the right term, grass in the fairways. But it's late in the year. Maybe they're all like that. Beer and food pricing is very fair, clubhouse and facilities are clean. Staff helpful and friendly.
They're making some obvious improvements also.
One of the best features and quite pleasing to my wife are the ladies tees are the best we've seen in that they're separate and well forward. And many of the holes have 3 separate and well spaced tees for differing levels of skill.
The perfect day!
I arrived after a nice light rain. The course was still hard enough to get a bounce and roll, But the greens were soft enough to stop short. The putting lines ran true and I made several long putts. The temperature was cool for 1:00pm start, and the cloud cover was there all thru the front nine. There were fewer clouds at the start of the back. The temp was a little higher, but still great. The back nine is harder than the front, but for $10.00, I had one of my more fun rounds.
love the layout
It's a fun course to play and not to far away and priced right
Great time
I had a great time, the only small problem I had was the road for the golf cart, it was a bit rough. Otherwise it was a nice golf course.
much improved
I've played this course for a number of years, mostly for conveiance. This year I've played it quite a bit because of the improvements. Fairways are much improved and the greens are very nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Holes are challenging. Looking foreward to the improvements being made on the back nine.
New name, same conditions
this course is not good. The conditions are poor, with ruts, rocks in the fairway and the fairways dirt based don't make for good play. Skip this course and spend the extra money for a better option. This course is for beginners.
First time playing. ..
Played this course for the first time today and was very satisfied expecially it being a hot deal. I am a rookie and pretty much played bogey golf. The layout is entertaining. Had a little rain delay but the course drained well. Had some lunch and a beverage that was very well priced and the staff is very polite and knowledgeable. I will definitely be there for another round expecially if I can get the hot deal again.
Great value
For the money, this is a great course. Yardages were off on several holes and the layout can be a bit tricky, but all in all would and will come back to play again.
Very average at best
Course was very poorly maintained in areas of greens, and cart paths. Otherwise it was just ok. Would not go again without golf now pricing, rest of group I was with agreed it would be better to go down the road and play coppertop.
Good value, nice staff
Greens in very nice shape, but relatively slow, partially because of a good downpour. Front nine is more forgiving then the back. Keep it in play and it's a fairly easy layout.
Play only if it is cheap...
Saw mixed reviews so decided to give this course a shot. Thank god it was only $16 for 18. Front 9 is open and not much fun, back 9 is a little better but still not to challenging. Overall this course is pretty rough around the edges. Greens are average but fairways and rough need work. There is obvious signs of improvements going on so i'll give this one a shot again next yr. If you wanna get out and just hit some balls and knock the rust off. This course is a perfect place to do so. If your looking for more, then the is not the course you wanna book.
Great Course for the Value
Nice course. Pretty quick greens. The front 9 is wide open and fairly easy, while the back 9 is narrow and a bit more challenging.
