Hinckley Hills Golf Course

OMG, what happened to this place? Pace of play was great because there was no one around. Bunkers full of weeds, overgrown trees and shrubs everywhere and of course the greens were punched but not filled and chunks of mud were left around the greens.. Some of the greens had so many dead and dried out areas areas that my ball actually rolled into a crater.

Will not play there again

The staff and fellow golfers are all respectful and open to beginners !

they want you to stay on the cart paths but if you do be prepared to get a kidney transplant.

Good directional signs kept me from getting lost on the course! Tight narrow fairways, slicers and hookers bring extra balls! Elevation changes aren't the easiest for my game, but I still enjoyed this courses peaceful and secluded surroundings. Very friendly staff.

Great views, some tight fairways on the back. Rough is pretty similarities length to the fairways. Greens, sand, and cart paths all need lots of work.

Only employee I saw working while golfing was a robot cutting grass near the parking lot.

While there is still some work to be done in the sand traps ans some tee boxes, generally the course was very playable even after some wet weather we had two days prior. The roughs were being mowed the day I was there, so it would have made finding my errant drives easier to find, lol!

Conditions were rough. Greens very shagy. Weeds everywhere. Half the traps don’t have sand and has overgrowth through them. The course is a shell of what it once was.

Probably played this course 20 years ago, so hard to remember details. However this round was after a heavy rain and course was super wet and cart path only. And that’s where the adventure begins. Their cart paths are the worst I’ve ever played on. I had smoother rides in armored vehicles in Vietnam! But as a golf nut, I still enjoyed the golf.

The tea boxes were heavily messed up the greens weren’t that great but overall was a good course. I shot my best score ever at this course not too difficult not too easy. I would suggest to play there, especially for the cost. The cost is very reasonable.

Would not recommend, greens are not maintained, pace of play is non existent rushed the whole time.

My playing partner put it best when he said the greens look like “old green and brown boat carpet”. I’ve played at this course quite a bit in the last 20 years and this was definitely the worst it has looked when I’ve played there. Not only were the greens brown, they have a lot of thin spots or little cuts. I hope they can get it back to its former glory but it needs quite a bit of TLC

I’ve played this course for years and this round was pretty sad. The greens looked like old brown and green boat carpet, almost unplayable. The rest of the course was ok, but the greens made it almost pointless to keep score. The staff in the clubhouse was very nice, and everything was clean. Without the very good deal for 18 holes and cart from Golf Now, I would not play here.

Hole number 13 is totally ridiculous . Terrible hole design. Some tees and greens are dried out and poor condition.

Really good course if your not behind a very slow 4some.
