Skyland Pines Golf Club

About
Skyland Pines Golf Course is an 18-hole public course situated in Canton. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels with five sets of tees that are diverse enough to challenge avid golfers yet gentle enough for beginners. The greens play true and fast, providing some of the area's best putting surfaces. The golf course is mostly flat and wide-open but what it lacks in elevation changes it makes up for in strategically placed bunkers, which can be found lurking beside the fairways and framing the greens. There are also water hazards that come into play on a few holes. In addition to the golf course, Skyland Pines is popular for its lighted driving range that has both turf and grass tees. You can still get some practice in when it's cold too with the covered, heated range.

Great course for the price
We golf here multiple times a year. Always a good experience. The course fairs well with any weather. A great layout for all levels of players.
Love this course.
I have been playing this course for over 10 years and continue to enjoy every time I play. Rough had been recently aerated but was still in great shape. i highly recommend this course.
Great course. Too much rain.
Enjoyed playing but there were spots that were just too wet because of all the rain. Can't control the weather. Still a great course and layout.
Great parkland course
Been two years since I last played. Course is in good shape, greens are true and quick. Rough is tall and thick. Staff is friendly.
Big improvement from a few yrs ago. Back 9 was backed up a bit because of a slow group that had no business on a golf course and the starter quickly drove out to tell them to pick up the pace. Greens were rolling very true. 30 min drive and i will still likely be back soon. Only negative was it seemed like there was another holes group in our fairway all day, holes are a little close together.
Fun round
Clubhouse remodel is very nice. Course in good shape.
Greens are fast and true
It’s been a long time since I’ve played this course and it did not disappoint. Greens were in great shape and fast, fairways lush, the cart paths need some major work, but the course itself was great. A super value!
The course is in great shape.
The greens are the fastest I’ve played on so far this year. But I like fast greens.
Awesome!
Been playing here for years and it has never been in better condition. Will play again for sure!
Love the fast greens
I have played this course many years and witnessed its decline. Since the new ownership the course is back on track to becoming one of the best in Stark County.
The course is nicely manicure.
I really like the course and the greens on a scale from 1 to 10 are definitely a 10.
Great Value!
Been playing this course for over 10 years and it has never been in better shape. Will definitely be back to play again.
Skyland Pines
We played Sunday 8/13.. I thought the course was in average shape at best and the tee boxes were especially poor. I know the course gets a lot of play but it looked like it isn't well taken care of!
Fast Greens & Lots of Trees
My brother and I had a blast. The greens were rolling about a 12 or 13. Off the tee, you'll want to keep it straight; beautifully lined holes will row after row of trees. We will be back soon.
5 guys, 3 carts, one set of clubs
How can any owner in his right mind let 5 guys who have never been on a course in their lifetimes, play 18 holes with one set of clubs? They drove on the greens, the tees and almost killed each other by driving in front of each other all over the course. Any course that would let this happen and do nothing will never get my business again.
You have to be kidding, right?
Sounds like perfect conditions to me.. maybe you should stick with putt putt
Sounds like everything people want in a golf course to me....
Mont5122,
Thank you for taking the time to review our golf course. We are working very hard to improve our overall condition. We hope you come back next season to give us another shot!
