....so same old things, but greens in great shape and for the price, great value in the area compared to other courses looking for $20+ more a round...

The course in good condition. There a quite a few challenging holes. Big problem is that is that there is NO SAND in any of the bunker, only small rocks. It's simply ridiculous for a decent course not to have any sand in the bunkers. If you can get past this, it is an excellent value for the money.

I booked a Saturday early afternoon tee time without the knowledge they had 2 small outings and cramming in as many afternoon tee times as possible. We had to wait for carts to become available, which set us behind right from the get go. Needless to say, the pace of play was so incredibly slow that we could not finish the round before it became dark. Unacceptable given the early tee time. Additionally, the course was in just OK condition. The worst part was the sand traps. It was like hitting off of concrete.

The staff was courteous and friendly. I might play this course again, since I have family who lives nearby, but it will have to be during the week. Hopefully the next experience will be more positive.

Got a great Hot Deals weekend rate. Fairways are pretty dry, no rain for several weeks. Greens though are in very good shape. Lots of slope on fairways so you have to watch for the way ball will roll after it lands.

Payed $50 for a sunday afternoon.

Tee boxes are not taken care of and neither are the sand traps. Sand traps were hard and rocky.

The amount of bugs made it impossible for me to really enjoy myself. They were literally everywhere and anywhere.

Course layout and staff are great.

The course was in good condition from tee to green. But, the bunkers are in terrible shape, no new sand in most of them. Our foursome agreed you could remove it from the bunker and put it next to it. No need to ruin a club from rocks or pavement feel. Pace of play was great, 4 hours on a Sunday! Staff was friendly and rangers were nice and still moved groups along. Greens were in very nice shape. For the money would definitely play again.

I haven't found a better non-municipal course value for Seniors...only $26 with cart for minimum 57 years old. That said, the course is a bit quirky and hilly and has a lot of severely sloping fairways. The greens were in fine shape, but because of the severe slope on many of them, three-putts or more were almost guaranteed if you weren't below the hole. The check-in staff wasn't particularly friendly and I was very disappointed at the insistence of no outside beverages or food allowed despite the fact that there was no on-course beverage cart. However, small coolers with ice were available at a minimal cost for beverages purchased there. Overall, I view the course as worth playing a few times year, especially in the Fall when the colors of the stately, mature trees should be spectacular.

I've played this course over the years at least and have noticed a decline in the course condition. The condition of the tee boxes and fairways are not what they used to be. The bunkers are dirt with no sand in them. In addition, the pace of the greens are too fast for the average player. I wouldn't recommend this course to friends anymore as I previously had done many times

While some t-boxes were being treated, course was in great shape! Course fits right into my handicap - forgiving but still a challenge given length. Would/do recommend this course for all levels.

Had a early morning weekend round which helped with the high temperature and humidity today. Pace was perfect with nobody pushing and group ahead staying ahead. Beaver Brook has varies holes which include short dog legs where you need to tee off which an iron or hybrid, narrow fairways where woods would be the best option, and open fairways which you could let the big stick go. Course conditions were in excellent shape except for the players not repairing their ball marks on the greens. For the price played, definitely worth it for a early morning round. The drive from NYC wasn't bad except for the typical typical traffic on the drive back at the Holland tunnel.

This was the first time I've ever played this course before. The lady at the front desk was rude and pushy with us and another group of 2. The course would've cost us 63$ a person for 18 holes, however we decided to play 9 since that's what we booked (we were given the option to play 18 when we arrived). For the price they charge there were many patches of missing grass on the fairways, sand spots in the fairway, while some fairways and holes were very nice there are far to many patches and race track like conditions along this course for what you're paying to golf there. Also while we out on the course there were a number of grounds crew members and while I understand that maintenance must be kept up (although they must've forgot that when it concerned the patches) they were on tee boxes and didn't move to allow us to tee off, also we were on our approach shot to the green and a grounds crew member was driving a mower on the green he jumped out and pulled the flag out of the hole to finish his mowing while I was set up to take a shot onto the green. I waited nearly 10 minutes for him to move so I could swing! I will never be returning!

I will start by saying that I like the layout of the course except for a few par 4's that you need to hit an iron into. The conditions are pretty bad. There was barely any sand in most of the traps. The tee boxes have a lot of dirt instead of grass. Tee positions don't appear to be moved much on the box. Weeds just off the fairway so money is not being spent on chemicals to control. Been coming to this course for years and have to say they are doing the bare minimum to service their customers. Sad...

The course was beautiful, a hidden gem worth the 50 minute drive. The views were great, fairways in tremendous shape as well as the greens. The only pitfall were the bunkers being in terrible shape, and should require a drop without penalty. The green side bunker I was in was in such bad shape I was afraid I would shred my wedge, probably the best thing you could do was to putt out of it since the clay like sand was rock hard. The other bunker I was in was a fairway bunker that had the same type of sand which was softer but had rocks in it; that the only improvement this course needs. Also less ignorant impolite golfers. I will be back to play again very soon.

One of my favorite courses. Love the layout. This course always makes me work hard. The course was in decent shape, greens were tight. The service is always pleasant. It was a good day.

The course was in excellent shape and the layout makes you work. The staff was extremely friendly and the weather was near perfect. Fairways were plush and the greens were for firm and true.

Course has a really good layout with plenty of elevation changes. Overall excellent conditions with exception of some bunkers. Greens are some of the best I've seen. Could barely find an old ball mark.They also have a lot of break. Placement is required above distance on a few par fours. I will definitely be back when in the area. Fun course to play.
