Beaver Brook Country Club

Was slow going off the first tee but sped up as we went along. Difficult mountain course with several blind shots. Very tough for someone who never played there. Was in good shape and nice scenic views.

I recommend it to other friends and the greens were in great shape

I woke up on a beautiful day and it was downhill from there. I had a 9:26 tee time and got to the course early and found they ran out of golf carts. "Lucky" for me they were running 30 minutes behind and found one for me 10 minutes prior to when I actually teed off. The round took over 6 hours to play, which is a disgrace. There were multiple holes where there were 2 group waiting to tee off in front of me. it was ridiculous. The course management is awful and their presence must be solely ornamental. Employees would drive full speed around the course all day and never stop to say anything to anyone. The only people this course would be good for are men trying to get away from their wives for as long as humanly possible. If you ever come across someone that claims to have played the course more than once, you are talking to a liar. Worst golf experience I'd had in the 20 years I've been playing.

My group held our father's day outing at Beaver Brook on Sunday June 15th which was not enjoyable to say the least. Our group consisted of 14 fathers spread amongst the 7:08a, 7:16a, 7:24a, & 7:40a tee times. We are courteous and all keep up the pace of the group in front of us. We actually found ourselves waiting in our carts off the tee box multiple times throughout the round for the group(s) in front of us to tee off. However, we were repeatedly harassed by the rangers/ambassadors that we were behind... and not in a polite manner either. We felt that this was targeted as it was witnessed that other groups guilty of the slow play continue without warning. The staff even argued for us to tee off even though the prior group was still driving their carts to their 2nd shot. I can assure you you will not be seeing any of the 14 of us at Beaver Brook.

This Course should be ashamed . Twice we were backed up with two foursomes ahead of us and we tee'd off 30 min late . Father's Day should be great day for all, Not a day to overbook your course. I will not be retuning.

We arrived for a 10:28 tee time, and were informed that things were a little backed up. That translated to a 30 minute delay in teeing off, and they were out of carts. We were able to get a cart that had just come back in and I think that may contribute to the delayed starts at Beaver Brook. At one point during this dreadfully slow round, we were told by the "Ambassador" aka Ranger that we had to pick up the pace. I looked from the green that we were on and the group in front of us hadn't even tee'd off yet since the group ahead of them was still on the fairway in range of a tee shot! Needless to say, that didn't make an already frustratingly slow outing any better... The course was pretty nice, and the greens were challenging and well groomed. I don't think I will be back, but if the course pace was faster, I think it could make for a more enjoyable golf experience.

my group had 4 times booked 708 716 724 and 740. tee times were off by 15 minutes because of an earlier tournament. the starter rushed our first group off the tee and proceeded to have the second group hit up on my first group she said they we far enough even though they had yet to hit their second shots. By the fifth hole we were told we were four holes behind (???) and we need to speed up or get bumped or ejected from the course I replied we started off 15 minutes behind and we've been waiting on every hole he replied there's a lot of golfers out and our policy is get bumped or ejected. I'm not sure if the course stacked too many early tee times or just bad players but starting off 15 minutes behind with no weather delay and getting blamed and threaten for the staff's inability to control the situation makes for a poor experience

A group of 14 of us booked consecutive tee times 708, 716, 724, 732. We were not late in arriving however they were already backed up and sent us out 30 minutes past our tee time. What followed from there was constantly hassling by the rangers. One ranger said as we walked up to the 4th tee that we were supposed to be on the 8th hole! WHAT??!!! We were waiting on the group in front of us AND got sent out 30 minutes past our tee time. I was in the first group at 708. Terrible service. One ranger made mutliple threats to my friends telling him he was going to bump him up or kick him off the course because we were slow. Outrageous! We all had the next group in front of us for most of the day. We made a compaint to the pro shop after our rounds and all they could say was "We're sorry about that." They lost our business that's for sure. We range from 9 to 30 handicaps but always keep place of play in mind. The staff ruined this Father's day outing for us all.

Nice course and in good shape. Pace of play SLOW! Will play again if a discounted tee time is available.

Great course, but pretty difficult. Many elevation changes. Greens and fairways were in awesome condition. Really thick rough.

Overall I would play there again. Staff was very friendly. Good mix of different type of holes ranging from difficult par 5 to an open par 4 with everything in between. Also got stuck behind a few groups that took forever and nothing was done about it. Not sure if it was because they belonged to the club but 5 hours is way too much. The conditions were very dry though. If I chipped onto the green with minimal effort the ball would roll an extra 30 feet than expected. It's like the green was a sheet of ice when the ball hit it. Maybe it was a one time deal but other than that I have no complaints.

This is the second time i played this course, and I very much enjoyed it. Although I scored much better the first time, I find it a fun and challenging layout. There was a slow group[ ahead of us, but a diligent course ranger managed to get them moving and the round was finished in a reasonable amount of time. I wouldn't recommend this course for beginners, as the greens are rather tricky to read ( I was totally fooled on at least 4 longer putts) and it does require some accurate shot-making from the tees. But the conditions are great, and the staff has been welcoming and friendly.

Got there 5 minutes before schedule tee time and was told we were late and that they sent 2 groups to the tee ahead of us. Then pace of play was extremely slow due to a large mix of group sizes. Tee boxes were bare for first of June, would hate to see what they look like at end of July. Some good holes, but overall not worth the greens fee they are asking....we got a golfnow discounted price cause of last minute booking otherwise would not have played there.

Love the course, was in great condition and a very good value for everyone no matter the tee time. Had some major pace of play issues- slow tournament in front of us on front 9 and what seemed to be a women's league on the back 9. Other than that it's a great course I'll definitely play again this season a few times.

Tough course, with lots of valleys, but excellent condition. Not for beginners, but a friendly staff that can accommodate anyone.

Pace of play was good, though this was because we were one of the first to tee off. They put a walking pair in front of us on the back 9, though they played relatively quickly too so wasn't too much of an issue.

Course was in decent shape, though a little soggy in areas from the rain. Greens were rolling okay. Course lay out was interesting, and generally seemed fair. One of those courses where familiarity would definitely be a huge boost.

New management just took over this course, so I think they're trying to get the word out that they're open for business.

Can't review F&B as wasn't open when we got there, and we didn't stay for lunch.

No driving range, which was a minor annoyance, but not a deal breaker for most.

The play was so slow, I stop my round and went home.. Not the first time this course is mismanaged... The greens are still full of sand...

The greens have recently been air rated so the price of 34.00 was acceptable, however the stage was just going through the motions. Not friendly at all. The starter was the worst, no directions of any sort; things like flag placement wasn't even mentioned. The overall course was in good shape and it was visible that improvement were in the works; trees have been recently cut down.

The restaurant was the worse. We waited over 30 minutes for lunch and when it eventually arrived it was wrong. At least the staff there made every effort to correct the mistake.

I've played número times over the years and enjoy the layout and alway had a decent lunch. This was the case this last time. It's evident that management isn't paying attention to detail.

I've played this course before, so knew what to expect. But there are quite a few areas, tee box, fairway, and greens that needs some new growth. Lots of sand used to fill in bare spots. Greens aerated and not rolled. But for price and location a decent play.
