Too Dry
We haven’t had rain in a lot of weeks and for the pin placements on the greens to be as aggressive as they were isn’t very friendly if you want to make golfers come back when the course is this dry and the greens are this fast, you need to choose a spot to put the pin to make it, not easier but challenging these placements were just ridiculous for these dry conditions. They should really soak the greens down with a lot of water, but that’s just my opinion.
Very nice course, but poor amenities
Course was in great condition with a challenging layout. However, there was nowhere to get water/drinks or food - nothing at the clubhouse or on the course. The gas carts were in poor condition and spewed noxious fumes.
They double book with golfnow
They double book people for t times. You can book a time in golf now it doesn’t matter someone can just call and then there’s 8 people booked for 1 ttime.
Good for practice, but typically a bit frustrating
I've played here a bunch - my most recent round was a twilight round which only cost $35 bucks, so certainly no complaints about that and I didn't expect to finish anyway. That said, there are some things to know.
-Carts are in really rough shape. Felt like it was going to fall apart while I was driving it.
-No rangers or anything, and the pace can be absolutely brutal.
The course layout is OK
I would not recommend playing hear during morning hours or any time they are charging full price, IMO it is no where near being worth 75+ to play during prime time.
Keep it moving old folks...
Need a ranger to keep the pace up. Round was over 5 hours long and it was obviously 1 group holding the whole afternoon up. Old dudes talking instead of playing. No cares at all that they have to share the course with other golfers. Very frustrating to pay good money and have the course not monitored. Need to nip this behavior and keep the pace moving forward... or be more successful in life and take your slow behavior to the country clubs! Not at the public spaces meant to be shared.
life value
Arrived 30 minutes early was able to get out right away staff amazing bunkers maybe the best sand in all of New Jersey value off the chart. BeaverBrook is a must play if you love Golf .
Good course
Good course to play. Well maintained, fairways and greens. If you play accordingly as where you should tee off from. Pretty much you be playing GIR and if your flat stick is cooperating you can par this course.
940 tee
The course was in great shape with the amount of rain that fell. The greens are in great shape. Only 2 had damage from the rain. We finished in 4 hrs.
